"Multi-Converter" erste Android-Applikation

Hallo!
Ich würde gerne anfangen Android-Apps zu programmieren, Java kann ich bereits relativ gut (bin in einem Informatik LK, dort benutzten wir Java).
Ja, okay, ich könnte mir nun tausende Guides durchlesen, aber ich habe mir gedacht "Learning-by-doing" klappt vielleicht besser und ist vorallem motivierender!
Kommen wir nun aber zu meinem Projekt und meinen ersten Problemen damit :)rolleyes2:):
Ich habe vor, einen "Multi-Converter" zu erstellen, also einen Umrechner, der Maßeinheiten, HEX/RGB, Byte/Bit etc. umrechnet (was genau er umrechnet ist ja vorerst egal).
Ich habe nun auch schon das SDK usw installiert und die Anwedung startet auch auf meinem HTC One M8, sie sieht bisher wie folgt aus:

Ich habe es bereits geschafft neue Items zu dem Menu hinzuzufügen und deren Strings zu ändern aber:
Wie schaffe ich es, dass sobald man ein Element auswählt eine neue Activity gestartet wird? Denn wenn ich z.B. im graphischen Layout ein TextFeld hinzufüge, dann ist es auf allen Menupunkten (also Währungen, Hex to Rgb, ...) zu sehen, was ja nicht der Sinn der Sache sein kann... Ich blicke da durch den vorgefertigten Code noch nicht ganz durch...:

Hi,

da ich auch zur zeit jemandem Android beibringe, der schon Javaerfahrung hat, empfehle ich dir erstmal das "Blank"-Template zu nehmen und ohne Fragments anzufangen.
Auch sollte dir das Material-Design erstmal nicht so wichtig sein. Versuche am besten auch ohne abwärtskompatible Libs auszukommen und nimm das SDK-19.

Wenn du dann die "Hello World" startest, siehst du, dass man nur 3 bis 4 Zeilen benötigt um eine App zu erstellen.

Danach würde ich eine Liste in der Mainactivity erstellen und bei einem Klick auf einen Listeintrag eine neue Activity mit den entsprechenden Feldern anzeigen.
Du kannst für jede Umrechnungsform eine eigene Activity erstellen.

Andere Activities startet man über Intents. (Zur Suche für Google)

Hallo,
ist schwierig, beziehungsweise eher extrem viel, dir das mal alles auf die schnelle zu erklären.
Mein Tipp: lese dir die ersten Kapitel der Google Dokumentation für Android durch. Ist zwar auf englisch, aber trotzdem werden dort praktisch alle grundlegenden Konzepte sehr gut erklärt.
Nimm dir ruhig ein paar Stunden, besser Tage, dafür Zeit.

Dir jetzt auf die schnelle ein paar Keywords zu geben, mit denen du vielleicht schnell weiter kommst, ist meiner Meinung nach nicht sinnvoll.
Auf kurz oder lang wirst du dich sowieso in das einarbeiten müssen was in der Doku steht (jedenfalls wenn du halbwegs sinnvolle Programme schreiben willst) und dann besser früh als spät. :)

Auf konkrete Fragen wirst du mehr und vor allem auch stichhaltigere Antworten erhalten. ;-)
