This is a port from CDMA EVO 3D Paranoid by Lens_flare so all credits to him Here, of course the base is Disarmed toaster by Agrabren, so also credits for him. This port was made for my own use, but some users asked me to publich it on a thread so they can have a place to discuss the bugs and the ROM stuff.

Note: I don´t have much free time to dedicate to this thread so please don´t expect much support or fast bug fixes.



PER-APP-COLOR, Paranoidandroid´s newest invention. Define apps in your regular hybrid panel (same that allows you to scale apps individually and choose their interface). See your phone fade into the color definition of your current app, press home or go elsewhere and it fades back. Create as many combinations you like, you can even dabble with opacity. This feature is made possible by our hybrid engine, which is unique to this rom.


•Chose your statusbar style, regular PhoneUI, Nexus7-PhabletUI or a combined TabletUI systembar. Choose from a variety of toggles and toggle layouts, switches, holo-buttons, toggles or icon-text-toggle rows.

•Get a ton of features on top of Cyanogenmod’s catalogue. Dabble with opacity, see-through options, eventualy colors, etc.

•Our images and graphics are made by a dedicated artist, KREBSMILK

•Hybrid mode is the heart and soul of paranoidandroid. Forget tablet mode or build.prop changes! Hybrid mode will not break your phone, your apps, your market, nothing will shrink or become unusable. Entire parts of AOSP have been rewritten to make this possible, you will not get anything like it anywhere, this is the only rom on Android capable of these things.

•Hybrid mode means you can control the size and the actual layout of any app individually. Keep in mind, apps bring their own layouts, they will display according to your device. That’s why apps like gmail, settings, youtube, camera, chrome, etc., transform completely when you run them on a tablet. This rom allows you to choose whatever layout you like best, we don’t fool around with DPI, we extract the actual layouts from your apk’s and you select them with a tap. Apply and you’re done. No reboot necessary. You can target anything: apps, system components, widgets, launchers, keyboards, statusbars, lockscreen, etc.

•Finetune your workspace or apply hybrid settings to all your apps if you don’t like to set them up individually. Individual settings will still override this so you can still get the look you want.

•For ease of use you can access hybrid properties in your recents view, this will allow you to quickly review changes. Basic things like recents, toggles, etc. have been made usable across all UI modes.

This OTA Updater also notify you when a new update is available.

So please help me on testing this new feature by flashing this zip OTA-Updater.zip over 2.50.2 to update to 2.50.3.
You may get md5 error, just retry again.

Hallo,

habs mir heute dieses Rom geladen und installiert. dann wollte ich die JB gaaps installieren leider ohne erfolg. bootlop.
also neu installiert und ohne google apps mal ein wenig mit dem evo gespielt.
es ist auf jeden fall verdammt flüssig, sms app finde ich genial. es funktioniert eugentlich alles bis auf die kamera. sie stürzt ab, nicht immer aber ganz oft.

so, heute gabs update von 2.50.2 auf 2.50.3
ich jetzt endlich die gapps installieren. bis jetzt alles super... bis auf die kamera, die macht iimer noch probleme, aufgenomenne videos sind im quer format nicht zu sehen.
probiert es selber aus

Bestätige, Video Fehler hab ich auch. Kümmert mich aber nicht. Ansonsten sehr smooth.

Ich bin gerade dabei mein EVO zu sichern. Dann teste ich das BiParanoid mal an. Hoffe YouTube läuft. Ich werde das EVO weitergeben, da ich mir das NEXUS 4 besorgen werde. Also muss eine gute CustomROM auf das EVO 3D. Hoffe diese haut hin.

Anthrax Kernel findest du im Entsprechenden Anthrax Forum!

Bei XDA findest du den Buttered Toast, der is ähnlich zum Anthrax falls du nicht googlen willst!

Das EVO hat ein paar schöne Roms und die Sense 4.1 Roms sowie MIUI sind wirklich klasse, auch die Stoc 3.6 sind toll! Nur irgendwie nervt mich das irgendwie immer was net ganz flüssig läuft, erst am JB isses richtig smooth, die laufen aber bescheiden imho


Fressen übel akku und haben leider noch zuviele Bugs um als Daily laufen zu können find ich!

Vllt hab ich auch veraltete Firmware drauf, aber hab sie anfangs mal geupdatet!

hab es bei mir zurzeit als daily drauf, denn es ist wirklich super smooth und akku laufzeit bist jetzt ganz gut..
jb 4.2 kamera und gallery sieht auch besser aus

wenn man sich endlich auch wieder videos angucken kann, dann ist es echt eine hammer rom

Ja, genau. Und so lange muss ich warten. Wenigstens YouTube sollte laufen, wie bei der 0.2.0 Toaster-Version.

ja, ist schon geile rom, nur das cam problem und video problem ist weiter vorhanden. es liegt schon jb, es gibt keine treiber für 3d und andere sachen bzw sind die schwer aus der stock rom zu bekommen oder?

Moin, für alle die das Problem mit dem Wecker haben ,das er stumm bleibt beim Wecken. Einfach eure Wecktöne in den Ordner Ringtones kopieren und schon funktioniert der Wecker wieder

Edit: nach 8 stunden deepsleep funktioniert der Wecker doch nicht :-(,APP stürzt ab.

verdammt, bei mir bleibt es beim booten hängen.
wenn ich nur das rom installiere ist alles ok. wenn ich dann die gaaps (JB signed) installiere, startet evo nicht mehr.

das problem hat man, wenn man das handy grade am aufladen hat... zieh einfach den stecker raus wenn du (neu)bootest, dann müsste es gehen

das evo war nicht am laden, ich hatte etwa 80% akku.
werde trotzdem immer drauf achten, danke.

Habe die ROM seit heute drauf und bin auch zufrieden damit. Das einzige was mich tierisch genervt hat, ist die SMS-App: Die SMS werden bei 160 geteilt, und ich habe auch keine Option gefunden, um das zu deaktivieren. Deshalb hab ich mir die SMS-App aus Disarmed Toaster kopiert und dabei gleich mal das Pop-Up (sehr praktisch übrigens) so modifiziert, das dort die Enter-Taste anstatt der Smiley Taste (nutzt die überhaupt jemand?) angezeigt wird. Ich hab die apk mal angehängt, falls jemand Interesse hat. Funktioniert natürlich auch bei jeder anderen JB ROM.

Die Mms.apk einfach per adb oder Dateiexplorer nach /system/app kopieren. Bei zweiter Methode noch darauf achten, das die Rechte richtig gesetzt werden (644 bzw rw-r--r--).

Per adb gehts so:
Rechte setzen sollte da entfallen.

Bei mir läuft es nicht.
Trotz Full wipe bootet es im Kreis....

Nach WIRE-Methode bin ich S-OFF.
Geladen habe ich es über den Link im 1. Post.
Geflasht im Recovery 4Ext Touch.....

Hast du noch was anderes geflasht außer der Rom? Also gapps oder irgendwelche Patches, modes, Kernel?

Full Wipe habe ich gemacht.

Bemn 1. Mal nur das Rom geflasht, beim 2. Mal das Rom und anschliessend
direkt gapps.

Beides Mal das selbe Ergebnis.
Ich sehe die blinzelnden Augen....dann reboot....endlos...
