Fast for Facebook - die (bessere?) Facebook App

Fast for Facebook ist eine Alternative zur offiziellen Facebook App. Diejenigen, die mit der offiziellen Facebook Version genauso viele Probleme haben, wie die Market Bewertungen es zeigen, sollten mal dies App testen.

Man beachte, dass die App noch Beta ist.

Habs mal probiert, sieht etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig aber nicht schlecht aus.

Aber leider ist die App fehlerhaft; Auf dem Ace der Freundin und meinem Defy stürzt sie immer ab, wenn man eine Nachricht verfassen will. Auf dem SGS2 macht das keine Probleme.
Auf dem Defy schien die App auch nicht richtig zu synchronisieren. So werden über die App gelesene Nacrichten zum Beispiel nicht als gelesen gekennzeichnet etc.
Wenn man sich das Profil von Freunden ansieht, dann bekommt man nicht nur die Chronik (und die auch scheinbar nur unvollständig) angezeigt, sondern auch Beiträge, die man in bspw. bei Veranstaltungen abgegeben hat. Vollkommen ohne Zusammenhang. Es finden sich auch Beiträge ohne Inhalt, sprich nur mit Datum und Zeit aber sonst nix.
Ich kann auch keinen Unterscheid zwischen Performance und Qualität erkennen.

Eigentlich gute Ansätze aber leider absolut schlecht umgesetzt.

Einige von dir genannten Probleme sind bekannt und werden derzeit bearbeitet. Darum ist es ja auch noch Beta, wenn die Bugs bekannt sind, können sie auch abgestellt werden.

Der Unterschied zwischen Performance und Qualität bezieht sich unter anderem auf Fotos, die bei Performance in einer niedrigeren Qualität geladen und somit schneller angezeigt werden. Sinnvoll wenn man gerade kein Wlan oder schnelles Internet zur Verfügung hat.

Aber trotzdem danke fürs testen, werde deine Eindrücke weiter geben.

Kannst du noch schreiben, welche Android Version bei den Smartphones genutzt wird? Dann lassen sich die Fehler besser einordnen.

so, direkt probiert (auf dem SGSII);
leider sehe ich in der profilansicht immer noch beiträge aus gruppen oder auch leere beiträge. außerdem habe ich das gefühl, dass nicht alle beiträge angezeigt werden.
das synchen scheint auch noch nicht wirklich zu funktionieen; habe eine nachricht auf dem rechner gelesen, bei fast wird sie noch als ungelesen angezeigt.
mehr konnte ich bisher noch nicht testen.

Ja das Problem mit den ungelesenen Nachrichten tritt immer wieder mal auf. Bei mir aktuell mit Android 4.1 nicht. Scheint wohl schwierig das für alle Plattformen zu fixen.

Alle Beiträge zeigt zur Zeit nur die originale Facebook App an. Das liegt an den Benutzereinstellungen deiner Freunde. Die haben Third Party Apps dann blockiert.

Nächste Woche soll dann auch das push notifications addon kommen.

ist das deine App, bzw entwickelst du sie mit... wenn ja: ein phattes Lob, vorallem für das letze Update.. vorher lief ja noch eniges nicht ganz so rund, aber nun scheint alles soweit zu funzen.. das neue Menü is auch ganz schick...

die app hat zwar keinen massiv spürbaren performanceunterschied zur Facebookapp - aber gegenüber dem Monster von App das Facebook frecherweise anbietet und den Speicher und den Ram vollbelegt, ist fast angenehm klein

Nein ist nicht meine App, bin "nur" Beta Tester der ersten Stunde ;-)
Unterstütze mit den Entwickler, weil wir nicht so eine aufgeblähte Facebook App haben wollen und uns nicht alles von Facebook vorschreiben lassen wollen.
Ideen gibt es viele, nur die ganze Umsetzung ist nicht so einfach. Liegt oftmals an der Facebook API.
Daher werden die push notifications nicht direkt in die App eingefügt, sondern kommen als Addon. Einerseits bleibt so die App schlank, anderseits kann jeder für sich selbst entscheiden, ob man sie nutzen will oder nicht.

Ich selbst nutze nur noch diese App und hab die originale deinstalliert. Hat fast alles was ich brauche. Mir fehlt eigentlich nur noch das ganze drumherum, um Events ordentlich zu bearbeiten. Aber da sind wir schon dran. ;-)

das mit den apis der hersteller ist mühsam. ich nutze für twitter z.b. nur twiddere, aber seit twitter die api so verändert hat das dritthersteller faktisch ausgeschlossen werden machts auch nicht mehr so viel spass.

push vermiss ich ganz und gar nicht im gegenteil, ich hasse facebookpushnotificstions.

fast ist auf nem guten weg.. ausserdem passt das design perfekt zu ics/jelli bean

Ich nutze diese App, und finde sie klasse.
Natürlich kann hier und da noch bisschen was verbessert werden, aber das wird sicherlich noch passieren. Fast saugt einem wenigstens nicht das Datenvolumen leer, auch wenn ich 1 GB Volumen verfüge.

Für meine Bedürfnisse ist diese App ausreichend. Bin da keine 20 Stunden am Tag drin.

Gibt wichtigere Dinge im Leben, ausser Facebook.

Der Entwickler beschäftigt sich lieber mit der produktiven Weiterentwicklung, als mit dem Sammeln irgendwelcher Daten. ;-)

Habs auch mal installiert. Sieht wirklich gut aus.
Notifications wären noch vorteilhaft.

Es werden gerade fleißig die Push Notifications getestet, hab sie schon drauf :-D
Denke mal, es kommt bald offiziell.

Alles klar. Lieber keine Notifications und ne App die nicht mit jedem Update neue Fehler bringt, als diese originale App.
