Hey guys!
Some time ago I worked with Kenia to fix the remaining bugs in the Sense port, however we didn't manage to do that.
The ROM still has connectivity and camera problems,just as it was left months ago.
By the way in the meanwhile we got new kernels that support Gingerbread bootloaders,new htc sense leaks (though remaining on 2.1 should be fine),but unfortunately nobody is working on it.
I'm quite expert as far as system developing is concerned but I'm not very good with kernels

The team could be made up of:

1/2 system developers/porters
1 kernel guru
3/4 beta testers
Others?

Maybe I'm the only one left here that's still hoping for a fully working sense ROM,but with the help of the some people here,we can finish the work in few days

THIS IS WHAT I GOT AFTER RE-WORKING ALPHA 6 A BIT: GalaxySense1.0 - Minus

NOTICE THAT: There's almost nothing new compared to the old alpha 6. STILL OLD KERNEL,that means you need to be on FROYO bootloaders. Again,connectivity is a real mess. No Camera, WiFi,no 3G,no Bluetooth and maybe not even GPS (didn't tested actually). However SMS bug fixed,HTC 3.0 Lockscreen re-integrated in frameworks

IT DEFINETELY NEEDS A NEW KERNEL

oh wow... vor ein paar tagen wurde der alte thread geschlossen und dann *Überraschung!!* bin gespannt ob es nun vorran geht. sobald es unterstützung für GB-Bootloaders werd ich mir das mal genauer anschauen. zu blöd das zach für den kernel nun wegfällt (er hatte sich ja schonmal bereit erklärt).
So wie ich das verstanden hab geht es wie vorher weiter mit sense 2.1 und nicht mit 3.0 ?

Sense 3.0 ist NICHT möglich, wie Kenia es erklärt hat, hängt iwie mit den Treibern zusammen die HTC seit 3.0 eingeführt hat und bei 2.1 nicht gebraucht werden.

Ab nun arbeitet dariolob mit dem Nexus S 3G team zusammen. Neue News dürfte es schnellstmöglich geben.

Yeah,I didn't find any relevant issue

I will re-check it to be sure

I heard kenia had the same problem while porting GalaxySense,but even if he's still active on xda he doesn't reply to PMs,so it may be a difficult bug to be solved... Otherwise,thanks to Jurgen Taipi,one of the beta testers,we could have 3g working on the new GalaxySense that will be released soon

3.0 ist zwar weiterhin "unmöglich" für uns, aber die devs vom nexus haben vor Sense 4.0 zum laufen zu bringen. Wenn ihnen das gelingt, könnte es sein, dass auch wir davon profitieren

P.s. To everyone here: If you can't wait for a decent release,it's your problem,right? Yeah,I could have released a ROM with no WiFi but I decided to wait a bit more. The first beta will have at least basic connectivity (wifi,bt and why not,also 3g maybe)

Rom threads in the development subforum can only exist if they have links for download, that is if a Rom is already released.
Coming soon threads and placeholders are not allowed.
If and when the OP has a Rom uploaded and needs to reopen the thread with links added he can contact me or another mod.
