teammat3's Light custom ROM 2.3.5

I've tried many ROMS for our Huawei X3, but every and single one had something that was bothering me. For example, alarm clock not working while phone was shutdown, rom not overclocked, etc..

So i finally decided that i would try to customize a ROM so it fits my needs : Functionality, Performance, Simplicity. Keep in my mind, i dont have the knowledge to build a ROM from the scrath, ive picked my personal favorite stuff from many ROMS.

Requires ROOT

Caracteristics:
-Free RAM : 80mb - 100mb
-Based on [ROM] by debranded ROM MoDaCo [Android 2.3.5]
-Android 2.3.5
-Rádio,GPS, WI-FI working well.
-Huawei Launcher replaced with ZEAM launcher
-ROM with overclock (kernel from ROM benru89 with ramdisk for floor-ROM)
-Gmail, Market
-No-frills CPU Control
-Browser Original replaced with Dolphin Browser HD
-Flash Player 10.2
-All-Backup
-Titanium Backup
-Multimedia App replaced with PlayerPro
-Deleted many original apps that, for me, are dispensible, and have some better substitutes on Android Market
-I think that touch screen is more responsive.

Recommended Configuration for No-frills CPU Control

*For usual daily use (consumes less battery)............................*For situations that you need more perfomance [battery longs less.]

Instructions:
1- Do all backups (contact, messages, etc..)
2- Turn off phone
3- Turn phone on by pressing the VOL+ button with the energy button at the same time.
4- Mount and storage
5- Format Boot, Format Cache, Format Data e Format System.
6- Back to the Recovery Clockwork main menu and select Install zip from sdcard
7- Select the first choice and search for teammat3's custom ROM 2.3.5.zip on your sd card
8- Reboot system

Für alle die diese Rom installieren wollen:
Ich hab mal in die *.zip reingeschaut und würde doch dazu raten vor dem flashen noch zusätzlich die apns-conf.xml, den cust-ordner und die sd.img zu sichern.

How did you get Flash working? Does it work well?
Could you point to the source of the flash binary?

1)@ElTonno, what do mean with apns-conf.xml and cust-dir, where are these folders?
(Auf Deutsch) Wo liegen die Dateien und sind warum sollte man sie sichern?
2) Is German as Language aviaible? Or Spain and English only?
3) Can i restore my backup from CWM to roll back to Stock-Rom?
4) Is the CPU by default overclocked? Can i damage my Phone when im overclock the CPU to 748mhz and is the system stable at this cpu clock?
5) Can i use All Backup or is the App in your ROM integrated? (I mean the Huawei default backup tool!)

2)Yes, german is included.
3)Yes you can, you have to backup your stock-rom.
4)No is not overclocked by default, you only overclock if you want.
You can damage your phone anytime you overclock, but in my case, i never experienced any warming when i overclocked up to 748mhz.
5)Yap, you can use it

- "unser" /cust/o2 ordner wird mit /cust/oemlogo überschrieben, ob das jetzt gut oder schlecht ist kann ich noch nicht beurteilen ;-)
- die /system/etc/apns-conf.xml enthält Einstellungen von folgenden Providern:
T-Mobile US 160/200/210/220/230/240/250/270/310/490/580/660/800
T-Mobile UK
T-Mobile D
T-Mobile A
T-Mobile A MMS
T-Mobile CZ
T-Mobile CZ MMS
T-Mobile NL

unsere enthält da weit mehr.
apns-conf.xml von teammat3: 6,42KB
apns-conf.xml von z.B benru89: 190,11KB

...
da die *.xml aber mit nandroid sowieso mitgesichert wird erledigt sich das mit dem extra speichern eigentlich, aber schadet auch nicht ^^

Mit dieser ROM (https://www.android-hilfe.de/forum/...anded-rom-by-modaco-android-2-3-5.183111.html) habe ich mir auch die interne SD "zerschossen" (Problem konnte aber behoben werden). Auch einige "Veränderungen" fanden statt, die ich bisher nicht komplett lösen konnte. Daher würde ich eher von abraten!

@ElTonno, ich benutze den ClockworkMod zum sichern meiner ROMs, reicht das aus? Oder muss ich dann auch die 2 sachen sichern?

Die eigenen Backups mit CWM reichen nicht aus!

Die "cust.zip" und die interne SD Karte "sd.img" bekommst du aber notfalls hier:

Damit konnte ich zumindest einiges "Retten". Im Nachhinein hätte ich diese ROM aber mal lieber bleiben lassen...

CWM sichert den /cust nicht mit, bekommt man hier:
cust.zip

die apns-conf.xml ist in /system/etc wird demnach beim backup mitgesichert, ansonsten gibt es noch die apns-conf.xml aus /cust/o2/de/xml/ die enthält noch weitere Einträge (Ist im cust-archive enthalten, s.o.)

Unter /cust/o2/de/xml/ ist auch eine apns-conf.xml, die sich aber von der unter /system/etc/ unterscheidet.
In der apns-conf.xml unter /system/etc/ fehlen die APNs für Lidl, Tchibo und Alice.


Außerdem wird in diesem Beitrag noch etwas Seltsames über eine "unknown/hidden partition" erzählt.

Der Beitrag ist zwar für ein anderes Handy (U8150), aber mir scheint es so, dass es auch auf unser U8510 zutreffen könnte.
In der Datei "load_oemlogo" unter /system/bin/ gibt es beim U8510 auch einen Verweis zur Datei /cust/%s/logo/oemlogo.mbn.
Ich steige aber auch nicht so ganz da durch, ob es diese versteckte Partition wirklich gibt oder ob vielleicht nur ein falscher Link in der load_oemlogo-Datei ist.

EDIT:
Es müsste stimmen, was Ryuk in den nachfolgenden Beiträgen sagt. Der logo-Ordner ist nicht versteckt, sondern nicht vorhanden.
Aber der gesamte cust-Ordner müsste in einer anderen Partition sein oder sonstwie vom CWM-Backup bzw. von Fastboot-Befehlen nicht zu finden bzw. nicht erreichbar sein. (?)

das %s ist ein platzhalter...da steht dann z.b. für o2 oder tesco oder p4u oder vf oder irgendein anderer provider...

Achso, okay. Dann könnte es für o2 gedacht sein.
Ein Ordner namens "logo" ist aber nicht zu finden.

das %s is halt wie ne variable in mathe, info oder physik...

da o2 kein eigenes bootlogo verwendet, gibts da auch keinen logo-ordner...

Wäre es vor den flashen dieser ROM nicht am besten, die unnötigen Format Befehle aus Update Script werfen? Das geänderte Script wieder zurück zu packen sollte die Funktionalität des Update.zip, soweit ich weiß, nicht beeinträchtigen (?)
