also if you fee you are having any problems just change the vm and cc to a setting you want also onces you do change the cc and vm there is no way to get the higher setting without re flashing the rom

5.2 Notes
So for those of you that haven't flashed 5.2 yet and are reading along, here are some things that have been mentioned that may help you. If you have flashed and done any of these and are going "oops", now ya know.

1. If you don't choose apps2ext option, no reason to choose 60mb swap.

2. If you do choose 51%cchack, don't go messing with Compache setting and VM Heap in settings. If you do you lose the hack. Then you have to reflash the rom to get them back. Unless you just like reflashing roms all the time, leave settings alone. You chose it ,don't lose it.

3. If you chose apps2ext, then don't check "allow application Moving, in cyanaogen settings. It works automatically because you chose apps2ext in install.

4.The widgets in the notification bar are limited to 6. REPEAT AFTER ME ONLY 6. Push your luck to 7 and boom. The walls come tumbling down. Then you gotta fix it, Then you gotta reboot. Now let me hear ya say "Only 6."

Please feel free to add to the list. I love when the rom flashes with no problems but I have no desire to keep flashing it over and over. So hopefully some of these tidbits of info will help some of you as well.

ich habe mir die RC5 auch geflasht, bei der RC4 hatte ich Probleme das das ROM in einer Bootloop hängen geblieben ist. Was solls, die RC5 scheint sehr gut zu tun, ist schnell und hat bislang auch noch keine FCs produziert.

Ein Sache verstehe ich dabei aber nicht:

Nachdem ich die ROM installiert hatte, war unter den Cyanogen Settings JIT und Dithering aktiviert. Wenn ich bei Compcache und bei HeapSize reingeguckt habe war dort nichts angewählt (keine der Optionen zeigte einen grünen Punkt).

Was bedeutet das, wenn garnix angewählt ist?
Ich dachte immer JIT ist fürs Magic (da zu langsam) nicht gut? Was ist jetzt besser mit der ROM? Compcache (wenn ja wieviel) oder JIT und was ist mit der HeapSize?

Dann soll es bei Yoshi ja den Compcache 56% hack geben?!?! Was/wie/wo ist denn das nun wieder?

Ich bin ganz ehrlich, ich habe mir die 250 Seite bei XDA nicht durchgelesen. Aber eine threatspezifische Suche hatte leider nix gefunden...

Ansonsten macht mir die ROM nach ca. 1 Tag einen alltagstauglichen und flotten Eindruck!

Wenn bei Compcache und vm nix ausgewählt ist dann ist der hack mit den 56% aktiv. Stellt man da was um und will dann wieder die 56% geht das nur über neu flashen der rom. Also da lieber die Finger davon lassen

komisch das die ROM hier niemanden zu interessieren scheint. Ist die beste, die bislang auf meinem Magic gelaufen ist.

Wie ich sehe, hast du auch die RC5 geflasht. Die wurde von Yoshi ja aber wegen irgendwelchen Fehlern zurückgenommen. Wobei bei mir im Moment alles geht. Im XDA Threat wird ein Kernelproblem bei der RC5 genannt, aber wenn man den aktuellsten Pershot flasht, wäre alles OK. Leider kann ich im XDA Forum nicht posten, da ich keine 10 Beiträge geschrieben habe.

Weiß du das was genaueres? Sollte man idesn Kernel drüberflashen?

Dafür gibt es hier einige, die es interessiert: Ginger Yoschi die andere ROM - Android Forum - AndroidPIT

Ja yoshi hat sie erstmal zurück gezogen, weil es bei einigen zu Problemen kam. Betraf aber meist die 32a Nutzer. Aber es soll ja demnächst ein neues Update kommen.

Den Kernel kannst flashen, wenn du aber keine Probleme hast, muss es nicht unbedingt sein.

BTW, wenn du die RC5 drauf hast, könnte es sein das Compcache nicht richtig geht. Dann müsstest dies mal machen:

*Datei runterladen rzscontrol
* Endung .txt entfernen, falls ihr die Datei auf dem Handy runtergeladen habt. Da wird sie komischerweise angehängt
* Datei nach /system/bin kopieren. Kann man per ADB machen, oder mit dem Rootexplorer oder so wie ich mit dem ES Datei Explorer (dort in den Einstellungen Root aktivieren). Denkt dran, das dass System gemountet ist.
*Reboot

Ich habe ein paar Roms durchprobiert. Ginger Yoshi funktioniert meiner Meinung nach bisher wirklich am besten. Der RC4 und der aktuellste Pershoot Kernel laufen super. Ich hatte allerdings 2 Reboots bisher, einfach aus heiterem Himmel.
Eine Frage habe ich noch. Die wurde bereits schon gestellt und nur teilweise beantwortet:
Dass es mit den Einstellungen überschrieben wird habe ich verstanden. Ich habs aber abgeschaltet, da ich sowieso Swap verwende.

Was genau bewirkt dieser Compcache 56% hack?

Wie gesagt. Ginger Yoshi funktioniert meines Erachtens bisher am besten

Normalerweise hat man nur 26 % Compcache, also extra Speicher. 56 sind natürlich mehr

Okay, danke. Compache ist bei der Verwendung von swap sowieso nicht so interessant
Habe gerade gesehen, dass Yoshi einen RC5.1 hochgeladen hat. Erstmal Changelog und erste Erfahrungen abwarten
