4EXT [Recovery] 2.1.6 RC2

Schaut euch das mal an. Ich habe es seit gestern drauf und bin sehr zufrieden. Meine Nand Backup ext4 Partionen wurden nämlich in ext3 umgewandelt. Das konnte ich damit wieder rückgängig machen.
Enthält doch eine Menge nützlicher Werkzeuge.

Und welche Vorteile bietet Ext4 gegenüber ext3? Ich nehm mal an dass jetzt ext3 verwendet wird, oder?
Wird da das "normale" CWM "ausgetauscht"?

1. wenn der kernel ext 4 unterstützt, sollte es schon besser sein in der performance (z.B. untiy V9 kernel)
2. CWM 5.xx wird überschrieben

Wichtig sind für mich Partionierungswerkzeuge, mounten der SD im recovery Modus usw., aber das steht alles im Orginalthread.

Und falls die Frage aufkommt: 4EXT Recovery hat nicht direkt etwas mit ext4 zu tun

Wenn ich wieder zum CWM zurück will, kann ich das im Rom-Manager wieder ohne Probleme installieren, oder?

Nein.. wer auf nummer sicher gehen will wartet ab ob es neue known issues gibt.

Im Moment kann ich aber allen empfehlen auf 2.2.7 rc5 upzudaten. Die ist verdammt stable und wird mit wenigen feature requests dann die nächste Final sofern alles gut geht..

New app preview version is online:

"Preview" because there were a few internal changes and also translations into French and German that might need testing. (you can switch to English again in the settings if you dislike a localized version)

A few little bugfixes and little improvements:
Backups should now be sorted by date, MIUI roms that are quite different in where they put their rom names weren't always detected correctly in the past. This should work the same now as it does for all the other roms.

There are also two new features:

Exported color settings can now be imported again.

And finally there is a new wipe feature for the Desire Z / G2, myTouch 4G and Desire HD:
Wipe EFS partitions. The app will create backups of those partitions just in case. It also won't wipe them if it discovers that the backups weren't created.
But still: BE CAREFUL! This was tested only once so far.

This is not the update I wanted though. There are tons of features that I'd like to implement, however I need to focus somewhere and at the moment this is the upcoming next final version of 4ext recovery.

Everyone can download and use/test the new app version. It is fully featured until 14th.
I'm planning to release it officially tomorrow on the market/slideme and the official free version too.

habe deinen Beitrag kurz gesehen und möchte trotzdem antworten, weil das glaube ich ganz gut wäre mal klar zu stellen:

Die Option zum checken der "sdcard" (fat32 partition) ist viel zu sensibel. Es reicht hier schon aus die sdcard mal zu mounten und es wird wieder anschlagen..
Deswegen habe ich den Text in "MIGHT contain errors" geändert.

Diese Option ist eigentlich nur dazu da die sdcard bei Verdacht auf Fehler im Recovery reparieren zu können.
Sie ist leider kaum geeignet um dir zu sagen ob es wirklich nennenswerte Fehler gibt (Grund siehe oben).

Ich werde diese Option in eine repair-only Option ändern um Mißverständnissen vorzubeugen. Das wurde (verständlicher Weise) auch schon verdammt oft auf xda gefragt.
