sicher das der server dazu da ist? dafür ist doch das GIT repository da? ist ja auch egal. es tut sich jedenfalls was. scheisse, wenn ich nur ein bisschen besser c könnte ... java != c

Git ist dafür da Sourcecode und Patches hoch zu laden.

Aber die benutzen ja IDA welches ein disassembler Programm ist.

Das heißt die können mit mehreren Leuten gleichzeitig z.b. den bootloader auseinander nehmen und versuchen ihn zu reverse engineeren.

@kniffo80 ja ich bin mir sicher so oft wie das im Chan erklärt wurde *g* ob dir c bei dem reversen hilft weiß ich nicht... ich denke da müsste man auch ein wenig Assembler Kenntnisse haben. aber k.A... habe mich mit so etwas nie direkt auseinander gesetzt. hoffe bloß sie bekommen es hin und schreiben evtl. mal öfters ein Progressupdate

As i see i this theme - you want to know what progress.
So - progress is that:
kernel module work in ~20% cases (branching execution to bootloader)
userspace program is simple -> no work on it yet, after all done
bootloader -> a lot of hard work

Because I need to redefine a lot of constants and some arch-specific code.
Also i need to rewrite usb-driver for bootloader, bcoz i want to add fastboot support in 2ndboot-ng
I use code and inventions from U-Boot dev tree, TI engineering forums, linux-omap projects, linux kernel, and some little pieces.

Also i try to save old code for Freescale i.MX31 and add new arch OMAP3430 as second arch -> trying to write high portable program.

This is not hard work for programming, but it is hard work for "black work" - refactoring code and searching and calculating new addresses

Thank you very much Can you say how long everything will take approximately? I mean roughly. days, weeks, months? sorry for my english, i hated english in the school ;/

Simple info - a user with a "complicated brick" yesterday has, contrary to my advice, been eager enough to flash the 90.73 and the 90.78 bootloaders succesfully. So, although it may not be news to many, for some it may be - the leaked BLs can in fact be flashed.

However, note:
- reflashing the BLs will not necessarily remedy any issues with the bootloader prior to that. If an error exists, it will most probably also come up with the flashed BL
- For people with 90.78 Bls on their phone, it appears fairly safe to flash the 90.73 bootloaders.

So, whats the difference between the .73 and the .78 bootloader? Do you gain any benefits out of it? AFAIK they're no unlocked bootloaders, right?

78 - no access to the recovery via poweron+camera, some state it works like droid now (press X on keyboard and power button)- all other changes are currently being looked at by people way more capable to explain than I am

So, well, what would be so special about it to flash to the .78 loader, even when its digitally signed? Or isnt it? It kind of confuses me with all those different bootloaders, the 2nd bootloader option and all that. I know the benefits of the 2nd bootloader method, but what about the simple flash to .78 ? The bootloader .78 in fact IS for the Milestone/Droid, isnt it?

The .78 bootloader seems to be an new one on the milestone, released since March/April on Milestones with 2.1 preinstalled.

That's weird. Care to tell me whats so special about this .78 bootloader then? Sorry I'm confused here.

Kein neuer Status, ausser eben bekanntes: Der .78er BL lässt einen nur noch mit "X"+Power in den recovery mode.
Der .78er-BL wird mit neuen Steinen mit 2.1 ausgeliefert, die vorherigen haben einen anderne Bootloader. Mehr gabs eigentlich nciht.

Ich bekomme wahrscheinlich nächste Woche ein neues. - Meins ist derzeit in der Rep. wegen dem CrystalTalk-Bug. ...
Mit ein bisschen Glück ist da ein neuer Bootloader drauf. ^__^''

Ich habe leider net den ganzen Thread gelesen, also kommt jetzt ein neuer Bootloader für die neuen Stein bei dem man vllt mehr Chancen hat ihn zu Cracken oder vllt schon offen ist ???
