Hmmm ... ich bleibe auch skeptisch. Anton schreibt schon ne ganze Weile an dem Kram umher und schreibt eben auch, das es momentan nicht möglich ist, ein boot.img von der SD zu booten. Aber ich lass mich natürlich gern positiv überraschen.

Könnte man nicht, falls es nicht klappt einfach eine SBF drüberflashen? oder liege ich da falsch?
When this 'custom rom' process would not be working, we could easily flash a SBF file over it on the Milestone, or am i wrong?

na hier werden ja regelrechte durchbrüche fabriziert, während ich mich mit simplen taktraten und so´m quatsch beschäftigte
was das englisch angeht.. ich bin der ansicht, wir können äußerst froh sein, daß sich überhaupt mal noch jemand mit dem krempel befasst. und englisch ist wohl die sprache, die in den meisten ländern dieser erde gesprochen wird. vllt nicht von den meisten menschen (das dürfte wohl chinesisch sein...), aber auf allen kontinenten und in annähernd jedem land. dagegen kann deutsch wohl nicht anstinken, oder? englisch ist seit jahrzehnten sozusagen eine universelle oder eine "weltsprache", wie´s mein englischlehrer mal nannte. und noch dazu finden sich im deutschen immer mehr anglizismen, die wir uns selbst angeeignet haben. und dann kann´s eigentlich nicht sein, daß wir auf die barrikaden gehen, wenn hier jemand in der wichtigsten sprache weltweit schreibt (der ja noch dazu UNS ALLEN auch einen fucking großen gefallen erweist.. man sollte auch das bedenken!!).
wir sollten froh und dankbar sein und einen fähigen kerl nicht durch so ein geheule hier vergraulen!
nebenbei hab ich uk mit land und leuten als äußerst zuvorkommend und freundlich kennengelernt. da können wir uns in allen lebenslagen einige dicke scheiben abschneiden.
soviel mal dazu..

i hope you don´t miff that some of us said some things that weren´t thought to their end. make yourself at home in this forum! almost all of us do REALLY appreciate your great work and are very glad to read such good news. it´s not your job to translate it to german. we can do that, too and i think this way would be better than use google translations. google should be used if you wanna get something to laugh about.. ^^

It seems it's one step forward and two back lately with this, though to be honest I haven't spent any time on it since last week.
I am uncomfortable doing a release just yet, because it works for me doesn't mean it won't break some one elses phone. I'll try and get a video up to at least show you guys that it works.

i think some people are afraid to do it, because of the high chance bricking their phones...
maybe there`s to much knowledge recommended so long your are not a dev.
probably a video proof or "how-to" will excite a lot of people and then they`re going to try (trust me

I would recommend a closed beta with some of the more experienced users, this will help you getting more feedback and limit the possible risks. These guys will make a nandroid anyway, before they install your ROM.

you guys have this all wrong. It's simply installed as an update.zip using openrecovery (amazing job BTW).
The more I work at this the more I think that it might be fruitless in the end as moto has so much custom frameworks, but it does boot. and it does not brick your device/radio or replace anything other than the files on /system.
If there is an experienced dev on this forum, who has worked with custom builds before (on another device obviously) knows there way around the android system and adb etc, then feel free to pm me.
