Indeed, Not all ins closed source, but some parts from the Hardware uses closed source. I think somethin like the mic or sound. I have read it a while ago on xda
 
codeorkx means it is the kernel.
he needs kernel sources from samsung to fix everything...
 
I thought the same thing a few minutes ago. And I think they only show the stable builds now :) so be patient xD
 
The future of V4 Builds.

Dear Users.

Due to issues with the V4 builds we will not be supporting them until they are stable for daily usage. However what we plan to do is make sure that all 2.3.7 devices which were support in the past are continued. This means that instead of releasing V4 builds for the Nexus S we will port the 2.3.7 weekly roms across to the Nexus S, which is more stable and can be supported by the whole team.

V4 and 4.0.3 builds will continue in time, but this has no ETA's. Should you wish to use the V4 build for the Nexus S, then this is available directly from MIUI China, who will be able to support you better should issues occur.
