Massive Battery drain/CPU FULL SPEED

I was wondering if anyone was experience a problem with the mediapad. I have two units and they have both been experience the same symptom. The unit would awake from deep sleep mode and drain the battery with the screen on and the CPU on full. I have been monitoring my tablet and the cpuspy records the tablet in deep sleep mode for 136hrs:46 with other CPU speeds at less than 2 minutes. However, at 1188mhz, it was recorded for 4hrs:56 which is draining the battery so when I turn it on, it notifies me that it has 2% left. I've used betterbatterystats but I don't quite understand how to read the data. It says that it's been away for approx 5 hours which is when the CPU was at 1188mhz.

More info

This was happening on HC as well, so I'm wondering maybe if these units are defective if no one else is experiencing it. Having said that, I've read that huawei warranty/CS is horrendous.

Any help would be appreciated it is appearing on two identical units.
Cheers!

The usual habit of the Pad is:

Screen off - CPU in Deep Sleep
Screen on - CPU 1188 MHz

Other CPU-frequencies are very rare.

I don't really understand your problem.

How long can you use your Pad? Normally you can surf / play / watch video for about 4-5 hours

When you don't use the pad and screen is off, the battery looses about 2% every 12 hours with ICS, in HC its much more

Which firmware do you use?

In 145 hours, i have used my mediapad for light surfing for about 45 mins. After that most of the time i power it down and it's in deep sleep mode. However, when i checked today, the battery was all drained out. Something is turning on the mediapad, turning on the screen and using 1188mhz until the battery drains out so when i want to use it, there's no battery left.

Well, the only solution will be BetterBatteryStats - we dont have a crystal sphere. Colud be some automatic sync or something like that - or something completely different.

And still, you don't mention which firmware you use.

And 145 hours is still very long. I never used the pad for such a long time without charging it.

@in4mer

Don't use "deep sleep" aka "Quickstart"... just turn it off.

Battery drain in "display off" mode with flymode on and wlan/sync on result in more than 25 days standby.
As Androidbene wrote: 1-2% per 12h or 3-4% per day/24h.

You really don't need "quickstart" (or "deep standby") and it does't work with this device as it should.

I turn off the machine (power down) but I realize according to cpu spy, it is considered deep sleep mode.

I have used betterbatterystats but I don't understand how to read it. From what I understand, it says that the tablet has been awake for almost 5 hours which is the approx 4.5 hours of 1188mhz CPU with display on.

Sorry, I am using the latest firmware rooted.

HUAWEI MediaPad FIRMWARE(S7-301u,Android4.0,C232B005,General_Channel)

The thing that bothers me is that I have two units and it was still doing the same battery drain on the UN-rooted one.

Just turn "quickstart" off!
Settings -> quickstart

That's it.

Greets Gunnar

Thanks for your help. I'll give it a go and hopefully that will resolve the issue. Cheers!
