Nightly Builds von Mozilla Fennec

In the meantime, you should probably stick with current nightly
build. Or if you are adventurous, try installing http://bit.ly/bI7Nl9
[3]. This is not an officially signed build, so you must uninstall
(and lose your current profile) when switching from an official build
to this one or vice-versa.

This development build contains several unmerged or in-progress
patches, so it might be extra buggy, but it includes partial fixes for
installing add-ons (including Firefox Sync), saving preferences,
multitouch zoom, and more.

The experimental build at http://bit.ly/bI7Nl9 [1] was updated a few
minutes ago to a newer snapshot, with a newer version of the
multitouch zoom patch and many small fixes. If you downloaded it
before now, re-download to get the newer version. (If you still have
a nightly build installed, uninstall it before downloading this one.)

Today's nightly builds include some useful fixes by Michael Wu, our
main Android platform developer. This one is worth downloading if you
are using another recent build.
* Some graphics performance improvements, and a possible fix for some
freezes/hangs (Bug 573741).
* Fix for one bug where the soft keyboard stops working correctly (Bug
573741).

Some things we are working on next:

* Multi-touch pinch zoom. Most of the patches are now checked in;
there's just one piece left.
* Electrolysis (multi-process Firefox) to improve responsiveness.
* Firefox Sync built in (no add-on required). This is already working
on other platforms but not yet on Android.
* A new theme designed for Android (instead of the current Maemo theme
we are using).

System Requirements Fennec requires Android 2.0 or later and an ARMv7 (Cortex or compatible) processor.
Installation requires about 30 MB of available internal storage.
We are using these devices for development:

Note: The ARMv5 build is new and not widely tested. Many older Android phones do not have enough RAM or storage to run current Fennec builds. Fennec's visual design is not yet optimized for lower-resolution (320x480) displays.
