[THEME] REVOlution für 2.36, G.O.T. Froyo und CM6

Auf keinen Fall, dafür habe ich bei CM6 ja extra die metamorph Themes gemacht. Das neue Metamorph läuft auch auf der neuesten CM6.

Hm, postest du die Updates zu einem anderen Site auf Englisch? Ich liebe deine Theme, aber mein Deutsch ist sehr schlecht... Dieses thread verstehen ist sehr schwierig für mich :s

Oh, I guessed that since this was a German forum, English posts wouldn't be appreciated I've come across some forums where "Nür Deutsch hier, Engländer GTFO" is an actual rule, so I didn't want to take the risk. But ok, typing like this is way easier for me.
I'm using CM6 rc3 with the revolution theme right now, and I would like to update to RC5. From what I understood of the posts above mine, is that simply applying the theme over rc5 would cause problems. Then he said something about using metamorph instead, but that's where I lost it. Language barrier in it's ugliest form. I figured that I could eventually figure it out should I take some of time for it, but if everything was on another site (in english), things would be a lot easier. That's why I asked
If there isn't, I'm not going to bother anyone around here asking if they want to translate it for me, I could do that myself, it'd just take a bit of time. And why waste time on doing things that are already done for you?
But the question isn't urgent, I'm not really planning on updating right now, it's 1 am, so... That'll have to wait for another day anyway.

It doesnt Mention RC3, but i personally would do a Date Wipe anyway, just to be safe.

Use both Metamorph packs, but do a Nandroid backup before^^

Updating CM wouldn't be much of a problem. But I've never used metamorphs, so I simply don't know how they work. I'm using the androidiani OR mod, but I don't see any "metamorph" map there... And I'm typing this from my phone, so I can't really check if there's an "apply metamorph" option in the recovery atm... Should there be? Also, in that link, it states it's for RC4. From what I understand at first glance is that it should work with the newest version, but I guess there's no harm in asking to be sure i didn't misunderstand.

You can just use the App "Metamorph" From the Market ^^ it works well too.

Copy the complete .zip in sdcard/AndroidThemes
Open Metamorph and choose "unzip/Extract new Theme"
Choose "pick existing theme", then go to the unzipped folder in metamorph (like "BatteryGauge2.2.1)") and start the xml
Reboot and you`re all set

Oh? I thought it was impossible to use that because the locked bootloader blocked that in some way... Guess I was seriously misinformed. Thanks for the info! I'm really going to sleep now tough, 2am and I have a big English test tomorrow (I'm actually Dutch) but I'll probably do this tomorrow afternoon if I can find the time then

Good Luck And yes you have something misunderstood. Metamorph App just needs Root and Busybox i think. so np for CM6. Just dont forget the Nandroid if anything doesnt work well

Tolles Theme, Ich hab nur das Problem, wenn ich die HardwareTastaur benutze und ein ä,ö,ü schreiben will durch das Gedrückthalten der Taste zwar das Auswahlmenu kommt, ich aber die verschiedenen a,o-Varianten nur schwer erkennen kann, da weisse Schrift auf hellgrauen hintergrund.

Ausserdem muss ich den Prolauncher sehr oft als Standard bestätigen und auswählen. Oft auch wenn man das Milestone aus dem Standby holt.

Das mit dem LauncherPro liegt daran, das es im Market eine neue Version gibt. Genau dafür hab ich ja für easy update den LauncherPro Update Thread aufgemacht.

Einfach neuen LauncherPro aus market installieren, von data/app in system/app verschieben, in recovery booten und metamorph installieren (bei Got 2.01 - ansonsten via metamorph app).

Das mit der Auswahl der Umlaute ist wirklich sehr, sehr stōrend. Kann man da nichts machen?

wo find ich den den launcher update thread? Hab gesucht.
Desweiteren ist mir grad noch aufgefallen, dass keine wav dateien abgespielt werden.

Welche IME nutzt Du und auf welcher Firmware? Hast Du einen Screenshot, da ich das Problem nie hatte? Ist nicht ganz so einfach, da ich selbst keinen MS mehr habe (DHD).

Um es gleich vorweg zu sagen: Das Problem tritt nur auf, wenn man die Umlaute bzw. Sonderzeichen erstellen will, indem man eine der HARDWARE-Tasten (z.B. "A" für "Ä") lange gedrückt hält. Bei der OnScreen-Tastatur gibt es das Problem nicht. Allerdings nutze ich bei meinem Milestone fast ausschließlich die Hardware-Tastatur, deswegen stört mich das sehr.




EDIT: Auf dem Bild kann man die Buchstaben sogar gar nicht sehen. Eigentlich sind sie leicht gräulich und man kann sie bei gutem Licht mit viel Mühe erahnen...

EDIT2: Ich habe die Frage nach der IME überlesen: Ich benutze die Stock-IME von Android 2.2.1 (LatinIME).

ich hätte da ne frage bezüglich Nachrichten in der Statusbar und der Uhr, da diese nach ausgeführtem Metamorph immernoch schwarz sind. So jetzt die Frage: Warum?
