Introduction:
---------------------
TeamWin Recovery Project, or twrp for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. We started from the ground up by taking AOSP recovery and loading it with the standard recovery options, then added a lot of our own features that we deemed missing from current recoveries. After weeks of hard work, we are happy to announce the release of twrp.

Key Features:
---------------------
- Clean, simple, intuitive Menu System
- Ability to save custom recovery settings
º Default partitions to back up
º Default zip folder location
º Default color theme (lots to choose from) (Thanks to ffolkes!)
º Default Time Zone (for more accurate time stamps)
º Zip Verification
- Ability to select which individual partitions to backup, and restore.
- Ability to choose compression or no compression backups.
º Compression takes longer of course, but you save roughly half the space. You choose.
- Ability to auto reboot after successful flashes (for the lazy)
- Battery Level and Timestamp (Better safe than sorry)

Known Issues:
---------------------
- Battery level does not display correctly yet
- If you see a checkbox in backup or restore below cache and above android_secure, do not check this box

Disclaimer:
---------------------
As usual, use at your own risk. TeamWin is not responsible for anything bad that may occur from using twrp. We do however take responsibility for the awesomeness that comes with it. Don't be a d3rp and use twrp for bad. With great power, comes great responsibility.

FAQ:

How to install the zip:

1. Download and copy PG58IMG.zip to root of sdcard
2. Rename the zip to exactly PG58IMG.zip using a file explorer like Astro
3. Reboot into BOOTLOADER
4. Let it detect the zip
5. Select Vol UP when it says Do you want to start update?
6. Wait for it to flash
7. Press Power to reboot
8. Let the phone reboot into the regular Android OS
9. Use a file manager like Astro to rename, move, or delete the PG58IMG.zip file so that hboot doesn't try to flash it again
10. Reboot into recovery and enjoy

Error when flashing some zip files:
twrp only supports the latest and greatest edify script for zip flashing. Please bug the zip developer to update the zip script to edify.

Does twrp support off-mode charging?
It is my understanding that off-mode charging does work, but I don't think anyone has tested it on the Sensation yet (it has been tested on the the EVO 3D). If you do fully drain your battery, you will need to let the phone charge for 10 or 20 minutes before you can power it back on though.

Blank checkbox in backup/restore?
If you see a checkbox in backup or restore below cache and above android_secure, do not check this box. This is a bug that will be fixed in the next version.

Which partitions do I need to back up for a proper backup?
Usually you just need boot, data, and system for a normal backup. If you don't know what you are doing, then these are usually the only ones that you need to back up and restore.

Original Post in xda:
The best thing about this recovery are the customizable themes!

I made some previews of each. Enjoy! (sorry about the dimness of Red Rum)

[20:05] <@Dees_Troy> most likely, all officially supported devices including the sensation will get it when it's ready
[20:06] <@Dees_Troy> but it still has a long ways to go before it's ready to ship
Ich darf das update für das Sensation testen(v.1.0.3 auf 1.1)

Changelog:
[20:07] <@Dees_Troy> new nandroid code - not really a big deal for Sensation, but good for other devices that have ext3 stock roms and ext4 in CM
[20:07] <@Dees_Troy> files/folders sorted case insensitive
[20:07] <@Dees_Troy> zip queuing
[20:08] <@Dees_Troy> select multiple zips then install them all in the order you chose them
[20:08] <@Dees_Troy> sort zips by date instead of file name
[20:08] <@Dees_Troy> instantly change themes and time zones without rebooting
[20:08] <@Dees_Troy> new way to store settings - future updates won't wipe away your settings
[20:08] <@Dees_Troy> sdcard partitioning
[20:09] <@Dees_Troy> to name a few :)
