LG will be offering the Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) OS upgrade for a range of LG smart-phones which were introduced this year. The global upgrade schedule will begin in the second and third quarters of 2012, which will be followed by a global roll out.

During the second quarter of 2012 upgrades will begin for the following smartphone models: the LG Optimus LTE, Prada phone by LG 3.0, the LG Optimus 2X, the LG Optimus Sol, the LG my Touch Q and the LG Eclipse. These upgrades will be followed by upgrades for the following smartphone models during the third quarter of 2012: the LG Optimus 3D, the LG Optimus Black, the LG Optimus Big, the LG Optimus Q2 and the LG Optimus EX.

LG will be taking all possible measure to offer a smooth OS upgrade in a timely manner. The exact start dates can vary by market, as each country can have different requirements, depending on the carrier and the smartphone model.

LG Schießt sich mal wieder selbst ab ! Sie werden auch noch die letzten kunden verlieren die sie noch haben ,.. Bis dahin werde ich mein LG aber nicht mehr haben dann lieber zum nexus greifen und (ICH HOFFE) glücklich sein

Wenn das war wird werd ich es verkaufen. Kann doch wohl nicht war sein. Samsung kriegt es im ersten Quartal auf die Reihe. Und LG nicht,wir müssen bis zum dritten warten, bis dahin ist schon Andriod 5.0 vorgestellt worden

Gut ob die es dann auch wirklich erhalten sei dahin gestellt. Aber das sind auf jeden Fall konkretere Pläne als die von LG.

Da gibt es vielleicht schon den ICS Nachfolger, auf irgendwelchen anderen Phones Peinlich, so eine Nachricht zu präsentieren...

was bitte ist daran peinlich? Das ist ein normaler Release-Plan. Das Optimus 3D ist halt nicht deren Spitzenmodell und muss daher warten. Peinlich ist eher der Vergleich zum SGS 2: Das ist nach wie vor Samsungs Top-Modell und hat sich von allen Androiden im High-End-Bereich mit Abstand am besten verkauft.

Mich ärgert's auch, dass es solange dauert, aber schaut euch mal an, was Samsung abseits vom SGS 2 aktualisiert, oder Motorola, oder Sony, oder... Holt euch ein Google-Phone, wenn ihr Up-to-Date sein wollt, alles andere ist Glückssache.

Na wartet erstmal ab wann die anderen im Endeffekt wirklich veröffentlichen.
Man sollte LG zugute halten das sie eine Menge Geräte updaten.
Frag mal die Motorola Leute. Die Waren bei Froyo und GB schon gearscht.

Es hätte mich auch gewundert, wenn LG so kurz nach dem GB-Release schon ein weiteres Update gebracht hätte; ICS-Release noch im Januar wäre mMn schon arg unrealistisch gewesen.

Dass es allerdings bis zum 3. Quartal dauern soll, finde ich dann aber doch recht hart.

Mal sehen, ob Samsung vielleicht doch noch ein 3D-Android-Smartphone auf den Markt bringt (entsprechende Gerüchte gab es ja schon); das könnte dann mein LG ablösen...

die sollten lieber erstmal ein 100% funktionierendes 2.3 bringen. ich werde das O3D jedenfalls demnächst zur 3D-Kamera degradieren und auf ein bugfreies Smartphone umsteigen.

Na ja, hinter dem Speed stehen mehr Kunden, die Druck ausüben, daher kommt das Update dafür eher.

Ich glaub eher, das es hardwaremässig einfacher zu handeln ist, als das Optimus 3d

Das hat mit der Menge der Kunden nichts zu tun.
Bei LG gibt es halt das Problem das die ICS auf mehrere CPU-Plattformen portieren müssen und dann noch die Provideranpassungen kommen.
Das O3D sollte dennoch eines der ersten Geräte sein das es seitens der Hardware dem Nexus am ähnlichsten ist und dort die Anpassungen gerringer ausfallen als bei anderen Geräten.
