Hi all Xperia Ion users!

I am originally from Xperia S sub-forum, but I was contacted by kapil4wm who asked for some help with themes and mods for the Ion. As I understood many from mods from SXS do work, but some like framework-res does ofc not work. My goal is to get as many of my themes for Xperia S working on the Ion.

Guide to install is on 2nd post!​

Needed: Root and some knowledge about adb.

As always: I take no responsibility for any harm that comes to your phone as a result of applying this mod. This is still in test stage for Xperia Ion! Please report problems and give as much info as possible.

AOSP Lockscreen with music fix
Download: framework-res.apk
Remember to delete UxpNxtLockScreen.apk in /system/app/ if you want the AOSP lockscreen.

Sony Xperia GX Statusbar
Download: SystemUI.apk

ICS statusbar
Download: SystemUI.apk

ICS CF theme - With Fixed gradient settings background
Download: BlackTheme.apk
How to apply: On homescreen: menu, upper left, theme, choose the big X.

Location: /system/vendor/overlay/framework/

Stock ICS power widget:
Stock icons: Settings.apk
AOSP icons in settings: Settings.apk (look at screenshot above for settings icons)

How to:​

All mods on previous post is in .apk form (no CWM zips). Easiest way to install is to use adb and push the apk to its right place. If you have problems understanding how to use adb USE GOOGLE AND SEARCH.

For normal system apps:
adb remount
adb push YourApkHere.apk /system/app ( for example: adb push SystemUI.apk /system/app )

For framework-res.apk:
adb remount
adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework
adb reboot


Another way is to use a file explorer:
Copy and move the file to /system
Set right permissions: rw-r--r--
Now move the file to its final destination.


You can also put the apk in a CWM flashable zip.

Funktioniert problemlos. Ich habe einfach die apk's via Root Explorer in das jeweilige Verzeichnis kopiert und die Permissions berichtigt.

Ist es irgendwie möglich, den AOSP Lockscreen mit Music Fix auch auf das Xperia P zu bringen? Die Tatsache, dass der Musikplayer auf der Uhrzeit platziert ist, nervt mich nämlich tierisch..!
