Galnet MIUI ICS is our experimental builds for the Ice Cream Sandwich framework being introduced into MIUI. These builds don’t look any different, however they do come with some of the ICS benefits such as power management and ram management.

OTHER INFORMATION

• The battery calibration will kick in straight away once flashing this rom, therefore you will find that the battery drains quicker than before. Please allow it to drain to around 5% before recharging fully back to 100% for the perfect calibration.
• Updater may FC on first boot, don’t worry about it, as it will work correctly once this occurs.
• Phone call recording (This is something that we won’t support due to legal issues within the UK, please don’t expect it).

EDIT:

da ich jetzt schon einen post so weit vorne habe, nutze ich dies, und werde meine erfahrungen/tipps hier sammeln.

Was funktioniert:

Es funktioniert in dieser Version eigentlich schon alles. Wlan, 3g, GPS, Bluetooth und natürlich telefonieren, funktionieren ohne Einschränkung.

Es ist also bereits eine Rom für den täglichen gebrauch.

Probleme:

Ich habe vorhin mal alle meine Apps auf Kompatibilität geprüft. Lediglich 3 von 80 Apps haben ihren Dienst immer mit einem Force Close quittiert. Möglicherweise bin ich der einzige dem das so ergeht, aber bisher habe ich noch nichts gegenteiliges gehört. Deswegen gehe ich erstmal davon aus, dass sie (noch) nicht funktionieren. Diese Apps sind:
- DB Navigator (bestätigt, funktioniert definitiv nicht)
- Imediashare
- Torch (bestätigt, funktioniert definitiv nicht)

Der Schieberegler in Apps (zb Voltage Control) muss wirklich geschoben werden, und lässt sich nicht mit einem klick verstellen

Tipps:

Apps auf deutsch:
Um die Sprache in den Apps auf deutsch zu stellen, kann man eine kleine Änderung an der build.prop vornehmen.

Dazu navigiert man mit dem Root Explorer (oder ähnlichem) zu dem /system Verzwichnis und öffnet die darin enthaltene Datei "build.prop".
Nun sucht man die Zeile:
ro.product.local.language=en und ändert diese in:
ro.product.local.language=de

danach speichern und rebooten, und alle Apps sind wieder auf deutsch. Die Miui Einstellungen bleiben natürlich englisch.

Nachteil: System Apps, die vorher englisch waren, sind danach chinesisch. Mir ist aber zb eine deutsche Navigation wichtiger.

update:

von flo gibt es jetzt ein sprachpaket für die 1.11.2 wo die einstellungen allerdings noch auf englisch sind. Hab jetzt selber eines gemacht mit dem apk translation wizard wo beim öffnen der telefoninfo allerdings immer ein fc ist. wer es haben möchte kenn sich bei mir melden

Batterie:
Ich als Miui Neuling habe eine ganze Weile gesucht, und mich gewundert, warum der Batterie Monitor nichts anzeigt.
Man muss diese Option erst in den System Einstellungen unter Batterie aktivieren. Dort befindet sich dann auch die Möglichkeit, die Batterieanzeige auf Prozent zu stellen.

Also bei mir läufts um einiges schneller als MiUi Germany 1.10.28

Bei mir funktioniert eigentlich auch alles.

Hier funktioniert nicht nur eigentlich alles sondern tatsächlich alles .

- Phone / SMS - Läuft
- Wiederherstellung von Apps und Data mit Titanium - Keine Probleme, keine FC's
- Wifi / GPS / UMTS - Läuft ohne Probleme
- Radio - Läuft
- Übersetzung aus dem Chinesischen ins Englische - noch einige Lücken

Nach der ersten Installation und anschließendem Reboot hatte ich einen blaustich zu verzeichnen, lag wohl an meinen Voodoo Color Einstellungen.

Habe dann anschließend testweise

- Glitch V12 VC LL
- Neo 17r18

installiert. Ergebnis - laufen problemlos.

UV / OC läuft auch wie gewohnt, keine FC's zu verzeichnen.

Wie schon gesagt, Telefonieren, SMS´n, W-lan, 3G funktioniert, bis jetzt funktioniern auch alle Apps die ich getestet habe.

Der Wecker geht auch, hat mich heute zuverlässig geweckt.

Und habe ne Akkuleistung die ich vorher noch nie hatte!

Werde mal jetzt das "ICS" drauf machen, hoffe hier hat sich nicht viel geändert!

moin zusammen,
ich habs seit gestern abend drauf und schliesse mich den anderen an:
schnell, smooth...naja, das mit den Übersetzungen ins englische ist ja nicht wirklich tragisch, oder?
Bei mir hat es im emailprogramm einen kleinen bug, und zwar ist bei gmail oben die Leiste halb weg, auf der mein Kontoname steht...halb so wild...
Hatte über Nacht von 01.00 bis um 08.00 heute morgen einen Akkuverbrauch von 20%...aber ich denke auch das gibt sich noch...

@DJ: was hast du da für ein nettes Wallpaper?

Aaaaaaaaaaah, habs jetzt über eine bestehendes CM7 drüber geflasht und bekomm lauter FC's. Mal nen Wipe probieren


Edit: Nach nen Wipe funktionierts von CM7 aus auch.
