Gerade bei XDA gesehen dass es jetzt ein Tool gibt um die SIM-Sperre zu löschen.

SIM-Unlock Utility v0.1

Burn the iso, boot it, power up your phone into HBOOT by pressing both Vol-Up and Power and follow the instructions.
Post your experiences here for further development, along with hboot menu text.
It's based on some vulnerabilities and undocumented features, so disclosing them would mean the greater the chance them being corrected.
I've only tested it on Desire GSM and I do not recommend using it on CDMA devices; doing otherwise could lead to unpredictable results.

Changelog:
v0.2a - trying to reduce the number of false positives; the phone should restart if everything's ok. If it doesn't, start over again until it does.

Mit "hier" meinte ich Deutschland - wo imho keine simlocked Desires vertrieben werden/wurden. Aber Du hast natürlich Recht, falls jemand ein Gerät aus einer UK VVL o.ä. importiert haben sollte.

Ich wohne in der Schweiz und habe ein gebrauchtes mit Orange Sim-lock gekauft. Dann musste ich für 20 euro oder so einen Unlock-Code kaufen, das wäre mit dem Tool wohl nicht nötig gewesen.

Wobei sich mir die Frage stellt warum jemand überhaupt ein Desire mit SIM-Lock kauft, wenn die Auswahl an freien gigantisch groß ist.

Weil es Länder gibt, wo immer noch so ein Unwesen getrieben wird wie z.B: CH, GB, PL .

Bei mir war es weil es extrem billig war (200 euro). Und ich dachte der SIM-Lock wäre weg mit einem anderen Rom oder notfalls per S-Off
