[A510] Root Anleitung - Diskussionsthema

Jo wo hast du das denn gekauft? Zumindest in DE ist jelly bean schon offiziell von acer als update raus, ich hab das nicht gerootet und hab off. android 4.1.2 drauf

Ich habe das Gerät gebraucht gekauft. Es sieht aber aus wie neu und war extremst günstig. Der Verkäufer meinte es lässt sich keine deutsche Sprache einstellen und er kommt mit dem Englischen nicht klar, weshalb er es loswerden möchte. Ich könnte mit dem Englischen leben, würde aber gerne auf JB updaten.
Das AU in meiner Firmwareversion lässt mich vermuten, dass es ursprünglich aus Australien kommt. Aber selbst dort ist ein offizielles JB-Update erschienen.
Hilft mir aber nicht, denn das Ding sagt es ist mit ICS "up to date".
Jetzt ist die Frage wie ich das JB auf das Tab zu zaubern.

Update: Habe nochmal alles nach Nothrills Anleitung gemacht und nun hat es geklappt. Als Rom habe ich das neue von AOKP genutzt. Nun ist 4.2.2 drauf und alles auf deutsch.

Ich weiß jetzt nicht, welcher Anleitung Du folgst, aber der normale Ablauf sollte folgendermaßen sein:

- Bootloader Unlock
- Custom-Recovery per fastboot flashen
- vom CWM aus die Root und SU Dateien flashen

Du versuchst anscheinend die Root.zip vom Stock Recovery aus zu flashen. Das wird nicht funktionieren.

jetzt schaut es schon mal besser aus
mal schaun ob ich jetzt weiter komme

vom CWM aus die Root und SU Dateien flashen
jetzt finde ich sie auf der SD nicht mehr

Beim acer war da noch was mit remove recovery.IMG nach cwm. Das habe ich beim letzten mal auch drei mal vergessen.

• Step 0:
  Check this thread to see if you can help the community before you let us help you!
• Step 1:
  Copy the file attached to this post (remove_recovery_from_rom.zip, (MD5: 73aea1147f571a83caeb8743cd5972b4)) to your tablets internal memory or SD Card. Download the CWM-Based Recovery by NoThrills for A510 tablets and save it somewhere on your computer.
• Step 2:
  If your device is already bootloader unlocked, skip step 3. Your boot screen (the one with the Acer logo when you turn the device on) should read Bootloader Version x.xx.xx-ICS (Unlock Mode). If your device is not yet unlocked, continue to the next step:
• Step 3:
  Connect your tablet to your computer via USB. Make sure you have the Android SDK installed, and perform the following command:
  adb reboot-bootloader
  When the tablet reboots to the Acer logo, perform the next command:
  fastboot oem unlock
  Then, quickly press the Volume down (**) button on your tablet, followed by the Volume up (*) button to confirm the unlock. When done:
  fastboot reboot
• Step 4:
  Connect your tablet to your computer via USB. Make sure you have the Android SDK installed, and perform the following command:
  adb reboot-bootloader
  When the tablet reboots to the Acer logo, perform the next command:
  fastboot flash recovery recovery_nothrills.img
  This assumes you have put the nothrills_recovery.img in the same folder as the ADB utility.
• Step 5:
  Reboot your tablet with the following command, but you have to keep the Volume down (**) button pressed when the tablet boots:
  fastboot reboot
• Step 6:
  Install the remove_recovery_from_rom.zip file from the Recovery, then reboot your device.

Ansonsten auf Stock rom zurückflashen und von vorne beginnen.

acer a510 beim Booten beim Schriftzug "ICONIA TAB" hängen.

Suche mal zurück auf stock, dass hat bei mir auch geholfen das tablet wieder zu beleben.

Ich habe es jetzt mit
(hard reset)wieder zum Laufen gebracht.
Habe zwar jetzt Android-Version 4.0.3 drauf.
Aber was solls Hauptsache es geht wieder.

Wie ist das denn, wenn ich die Stock Rom wieder drauf haben möchte und den Bootloader wieder sperren möchte?
Kann ich denn einfach die Stock flashen und das Tut quasi anderst herrum anwenden, nur diesmal eben zum sperren des Bootloaders?

Richtig. Einfach DBT, sprich Stock, drüber und alles ist wie vorher.

Eine sehr einfache steht in Post #1 dieses Threads.
Wenn Dir das zu kompliziert ist,
solltest Du vom rooten Abstand nehmen.
Ehrlich das ist besser für Dich.

Ja ich hab aber schon 4.1.2 drauf. Also muss ich doch nach der Anleitung von Seite 17 gehen oder?

habe exakt dasselbe Problem :-(
Allerdings mit Nothrills 6.0.1.9...

@Bergvagabund: Wie hast Du das Problem gelöst?

Jemand anderes mit einer Lösung? Sorry, bin ein absoluter noob, was A510 und insbesondere Rooten von Android betrifft. Leider konnte ich noch keine Lösung ergoogeln...
