Bester Govener - Akkubelastung, Leistung, Prozessmanagement?

Hallo Leute,

ich bin in letzter Zeit ein bisschen am Experimentieren mit verschiedenen Goveners im CM7 (UmaroKernal 1.06)

Wollte hier mal Fragen welche Erfahrungen Ihr gemacht habt und welche Goveners eurer Meinung nach für die verschiedenen Anforderungen am besten geeignet sind.

Ich hab bisher mit dem Scary gefühlt die beste Akkuleistung.

Freu mich auf eure Feedbacks.

Also ich hab nen HTC Sensation, kann also nur was zu den Governors sagen. Ondemand und Smartass gelten als die wohl besten für ein ausgewogenes Verhältnis von Akkuleistung und Speed. Ich selber benutze Smartass, jedoch unterstützt nicht jeder Kernel Smartass, inzwischen aber definitiv die Mehrheit.
Ondemand gibt immer dann Leistung wenn Leistung abgefragt wird. Also bei meinen Sensation hab ich Max 1188 MHz, Min 192 MHz. Wenn ich jetzt eine Aktion ausführe, wird Ondemand den Prozessor sofort auf die 1,2 GHz hochtakten.
Smartass ist ähnlich, jedoch wird zuerst geschaut, ob die 192 MHz nicht vielleicht reichen. Reichen sie nicht, dreht er ebenfalls auf volle Power, also 1,2 GHz.
Smartass ist also theoretisch besser für den Akku und Leistung hat man trotzdem, jedoch kann es bei Miniaufgaben wie dem Scrollen in den Einstellungen passieren, dass es leicht ruckelt, weil der Prozessor nicht hochgetaktet wird.

Governor exlainations

• Batterysave! sits at the bottom and when the cpu load increases past the threshhold it scales up to the next speed and takes another load sample and keeps doing that(best on battery life/performance ratio)
• Ondemand sits at the bottom and when the cpu load increases past the threshhold, it scales ot the max speed then takes another load sample and scales down accordingly
• Powersave makes one transition to the bottom speed and stays there

  I have always agreed that in theory the way interactive works – by taking over the idle loop – is very attractive. I have never managed to tweak it so it would behave decently in real life. Smartass is a complete rewrite of the code plus more. I think its a success. Performance is on par with the “old” minmax and I think smartass is a bit more responsive. Battery life is hard to quantify precisely but it does spend much more time at the lower frequencies.
  Smartass will also cap the max frequency when sleeping to 352Mhz (or if your min frequency is higher than 352 – why?! – it will cap it to your min frequency). Lets take for example the 528/176 kernel, it will sleep at 352/176. No need for sleep profiles any more!"
• Scary - A new governor I wrote based on conservative with some smartass features, it scales accordingly to conservatives laws. So it will start from the bottom, take a load sample, if it's above the upthreshold, ramp up only one speed at a time, and ramp down one at a time. It will automatically cap the off screen speeds to 245Mhz, and if your min freq is higher than 245mhz, it will reset the min to 120mhz while screen is off and restore it upon screen awakening, and still scale accordingly to conservatives laws. So it spends most of its time at lower frequencies. The goal of this is to get the best battery life with decent performance. It will give the same performance as conservative right now, it will get tweaked over time.

Hat denn niemand anders noch Erfahrungen mit den Govenors?

Also ich habe einen pershoot kernel und in der Ondemand min.245mhz bis max.998 mhz gewählt und fahre damit sehr gut, Gefühlt

Ich habe jetzt mal eine Woche lang SmartAss und eine Woche lang Scary laufen lassen.

Muss sagen das Scary von der Akkuleistung gefühlt nen Tick besser ist.
SmartAss ist dagegen gerade kurz nach dem Display anschalten deutlich flotter als Scary.

Welche genau verwendest Du, hast du vllt. mehr Infos für mich Bitte? Würde gern mal was neues versuchen.

da sind eigentlich alle Aktuell bekannten Goveners drin leider ist die direkte vergleichbarkeit immer schwierig da es sich ja eher um ein Gefühl handelt bei der Akkulaufzeit.

Muss aber sagen das Generell CM7 verglichen mit jedem X-Beliebigen Sense-ROM deutlich besser durchhält.
