Generisches neues HTC-ROM auf G2 Touch?

Hallo zusammen,

kann das neue deutsche HTC ROM problemlos auf das G2 Touch aufgespielt werden?
- Welche T-Mobile-spezifischen Einstellungen sollte ich vorher sichern?
- Ergeben sich ohne T-Mobile-ROM irgendwelche Einschränkungen?
- Gibt es schon Erfahrungen, also hat dies schon jemand versucht?

Oh, hast sich schon erledigt. Habe im Unterforum " Root / Hacking / Modding für T-Mobile G2 Touch" passendes entdeckt.
Obwohl ich bei dieser Lage dann doch auf das offizielle T-Mobile-ROM warte...

Ich habe mal an T-Mobile eine Support anfrage gestellt und folgendes Geantwortet bekommen:

Wann kommt das HTC Hero Rom Update für das G2 touch? Und wird man mit dem G2 touch sofort nach Veröffentlichung der Android Version 1.6 diese herunterladen und installieren können?

Momentan liegt Derartiges nicht in der Planung.
Ob und wann es das geben wird, erfahren Sie, wenn Sie hin und wieder auf unserer Homepage nachsehen.
Hier stehen immer die aktuellen Download- und Upgrademöglichkeiten der Endgeräte zur Verfügung.
Es stehen hier auch angedachte Aktionen aufgelistet.
Sollte dort nichts stehen, so ist momentan nichts in Planung.

Komisch nur das ich in einem Forum von T-Mobile UK was anderes gelesen habe.

T-Mobile UK Anfrage:

HTC have started rolling out their (much anticipated) updated HTC Hero ROM on their support sites.

When this is available on the UK site, will it be possible to use it to upgrade the G2? Will T-Mobile UK be providing the ROM separately? Or will it the phone just magically upgrade via OTA?

Looking forward to the touted speed improvements, would very much like to know when I'll be able to get them on my G2.

First of thanks for all of your comments, good and bad we do care and we needed to ask a few internal questions so that we could give you the right answer.
The G2 update was initially scheduled for release at the end of October / early November. However, as a result of your feedback on our forum this is no longer the case. Subsequently:

· The update is currently undergoing intensive testing as part of an accelerated activity
· We expect to release the update to you within the next 10 days
· We will give you an update on Weds afternoon as to how this is going and confirm the timelines

We can also confirm that the update will be available via a download and not as an OTA update. It will be available through the T-Mobile website and well post the link to it in the forums as soon as its available.

Thanks again for all your feedback, please keep it coming and well update again on Weds.

Irgendwie widersprechen die zwei Aussagen sich, oder?

Falls jemand andere Infos hat nur her damit. :confused:

Du schreibst da von zwei verschiedenen Updates.

T-Mobile UK nimmt noch nicht das Update auf 1.6 vor soweit ich weiß.

sorry falsch zu verstehen ich habe gemeint wann es bei t-mobile raus kommt wenn es veröffentlicht wird bis her wurde nur die sdk also die entwickler umgebung veröffentlicht von android 1.6.
