Hi,

My name is Zach and I'm from the middle east, in Israel.

I would like to kindly ask your help with the U8860 because I saw that there are many experts and experienced users here.

I'm about to get the U8860 running android GB 2.3.

So I entered Huawei official site and selected the U8860 and found many software downloads available.

All I simply want is to have ICS android system in this device, so I also found this guide:
Update Huawei Honor U8860 to Android 4.0.3 ICS Official Firmware [How To] | Team Android

Is this guide good for me in order to upgrade GB 2.3 to ICS 4.0.3?

As far as I know, ICS has Hebrew menus and keyboard as default. Can anyone check and confirm this?

Thanks in advanced!
Zach

At first this guide is good! :)
Take the B926 France Version, there is Hebrew Language in it! :)

The ICS for the Honor has not this long batterylife as the Gingerbread Version! But you can test it and when its not your thing, you can go Back to Gingerbread! :)
I`ve got WhatsApp/Facebook, WLAN/3G everytime on, and at least i come to 2 Days without loading the Smartphone, its good but not as good Gingerbread, but in my eyes ICS is better Gingerbread! :)

Dear Svensemann666,

I really appreciate your fast comment! I will download the french version as you suggested because Hebrew is very important for me.

As far as I know, GB doesn't have hebrew in any way for this device.
If the ICS battery usage will do a 24 hours I will satisfied!

Thanks a lot, again!

I looked in my languages and there is Hebrew, trust me! :)

during install it's recommend to have your sim card inserted, because when your sim has a provider from israel it uses automatically all settings for your country.
