Iconia A500 und NTFS

Hallo,
kommt das A500 mittlerweile gut mit NTFS Datenträegern zurecht ?
Habe bei Paragon gelesen, dass Acer den NTFS Treiber in die Serie 500 und 501
ab Android 3.2 integriert hat. Könnt Ihr das bestätigen ?
Demnach sollte es doch möglich sein, die Micro SDHC 32 GB mit NTFS zu formatieren um Dateien grösser 4 GB darauf zu speichern ?

Das ist eine Ente. Für NTFS Support muss das Tab gerootet sein. Dann kann man die App DriveMount installieren und kann damit NTFS-Platten mounten. Bestimte Custom ROMS wie das Thor ROM haben ein automatisches NTFS-Mounting realisiert.

Paragon’s UFSD technology enables systems and devices to have full access to file systems which otherwise would not be supported. Acer is licensing Paragon’s UFSD-based NTFS for Android driver to enhance the capability of their tablets, since most hard drives are formatted for NTFS. Tablets without the Paragon driver require users to first reformat their hard drive to the older FAT file system before they can be used.

The USB port is one of the important features of Acer ICONIA TAB A500-series tablets, because it can be used to attach a hard drive formatted for Windows — thanks to Paragon’s UFSD technology. Users, for example, can download and stream multimedia content to their USB drive, then later move just what they want to take with them onto their tablet and go.
Another key advantage of Paragon’s NTFS for Android driver is that it provides the highest read/write performance possible, which not only minimizes file transfer times between the tablet and the USB drive, but it is also mandatory for providing flawless playback of high definition, Blu-ray quality movies and multimedia content.

Sorry, habe gerade im 3.2 OTA Thread gelesen, dass mit dem Update auf 3.2 tatsächlich NTFS Support dabei ist. Komisch nur, dass es bei den auf 3.2 basierenden Custom ROMs bisher nur über Drive Mount geht.

d.h. doch, dass die 4Gb Begrenzung aufgehoben ist.
was mich interessieren würde, gilt das auch für den INTERNEN Speicher ?

Bekam gerade ne Mail vom Support. NTFS wird ab 3.2 unterstützt. Aber nur für Sticks. Nicht für Festplatten
