For Android 6.0 Marshmallow

No changes to the actual kernel, therefore no need to update. This will make clean installs easier

Stock ROM, already rooted:
-just flash EX

Stock ROM, not rooted:
-just flash EX, but make sure you install SuperSU 2.52 if you want root. Chainfire's boot.img is not necessary

Custom ROM:
-just flash EX
-if it bootloops or you want selinux permissive, flash this permissive zip

Sorry, I am not adding a permissive option to the installer due to the problems I had with Google a few months ago

Damit ROM Funktionen wie Doubletap for Flashlight und Skip track unter Marshmallow wieder richtig funktionieren, muss die Änderung im Kernel auch dabei sein.

Nachdem ich das Update auf 6.06 hier gekonnt ignoriert habe, folgt nun das Update auf 6.07. OP wieder aktuell.

Hinweis: Bitte drauf achten, dass für "systemless Root" (zB bei Stock ROMs) SuperSU 2.61 benötigt wird!

SuperSU 2.61 ist nur für Systemless Root auf Stock nötig, wer eine ROM benutzt, die SuperSU schon vorinstalliert hat, muss 2.61 nicht flashen.
Systemless Root ist momentan nur wichtig wenn man Android Pay benutzen will, welches aktuell auf dem Nexus 5 sowieso nicht funktioniert.
Von dem her lohnt sich der Aufwand nicht.

hm ... erst war ich ja ziehmlich begeistert von diesem Kernel, hatte ich mir doch mit Stock Rom und diesem Kernel eine bessere Akkulaufzeit erhofft ... der Kernel allein hats aber anscheinend nicht gebracht, so habe ich einfach mal versucht, nur einen Punkt zu untertackten und Undervolten, nur einen, damit nicht viel beim Handling des Telefones verloren geht ... das Ergebnis war ernüchternd schlecht :-(
... und der Knaller ist, dass ich nicht mehr ins Recovery rein komme, ums rückgängig zu machen "Oh!"

ich glaube, damit ist dieses Experiment erst mal fehlgeschlagen ....

während ich das hier getippt habe, hat das Wug Tool schon mal wieder Stock geflasht ...

Custom ROMs haben mit den neuen Kernel Versionen Sound und Wifi Probleme, Google hat ein paar Sourcen zu spät geliefert. Fix wird also demnächst kommen, aber auf Seiten der ROMs.

Zumindest PureNexus hat ein Update nachgeschoben, mit dem die Wifi Probleme mit Juli-Patch Kernel behoben wurden. Sound Probleme sind noch vorhanden, aber das Problem liegt bei Google.

Krexus funktioniert auch ohne Wifi Probleme. Inwiefern äußert sich der Soundbug? Mir kommt es so vor als wären die Klingeltöne etwas leiser.
