Yes that's what interested too, were you on CF or Franco's kernel Cause in first sentence you said that you were on CF and then that you made restore with R3?
And how did you install R3 anyway?

Hab eben mit dem Kernel Version r3 von Goatrip Rom nen Fullwipe durchgeführt
und die Rocket Rom installiert.
Alles ohne Probleme.

R3 installed using Mobile Odin. Read the OP, the ROM carries recoveries (R1 didnt).

What's the point of implementing the "MMC_CAP_ERASE" fix if it still doesnt allow safe flashing/wipe/restore? I'm very keen to hear your logic on that.

As an update, brought the bricked phone to the local (HK) Sammy service centre and they had it fixed within an hour by replacing the main board....230 euros later i'm back in business, with the knowledge from the engineer that it was indeed a hard brick.

I paid for my mistake, and am not complaining, I'm not sharing my grief with others on bricking given it was my own decision.

But what I'm sharing is that this MMC_CAP_ERASE fix is not golden. Those that repeatedly post "how do I flash this" should stay away for your own good if you have to ask that level of question.

If you read a little more closely PC Odin wasnt able to write to the device like I said.

Same result with a manual adb push (InitialCFRootFlasher) method.

I've been using linux for almost 20 years now since i was a high school student and hold a doctorate in CS, not saying that earns me the right to report a brick but crying wolf and discrediting the alert doesnt really do the community a favour other than to give false confidence to others.

Ich habe ein neues Backup mittels CWM von Chracks V3 mit Franco r3 erstellt. Alles problemlos.
Sicherheitshalber werde ich allfällige Restores bis auf weiteres über die rote Pille des Abyss 4.2 vornehmen. Ca. € 300.- für 2 Minuten entspricht nicht ganz meinem Stundenlohn.

Hatte den franco drauf lief auch alles recht gut aber heute hatte ich mehre probleme das dieverse apps eingefroren sind:-(

mit welchem ROM?

Ich habe den R3 Kernel ebenfalls getestet bis vor einigen Stunden und mir fiel auf dass das Note einfach immer langsamer wurde. Es ruckelte einfach im Appdrawer genau so wie am Homescreen und daher habe ich auf CF5.5 geflasht und jetzt rennts wieder wie geschmiert. Ich dachte mir zuerst Einbildung aber irgendwer hatte bei den devs das selbe Phänomen. K.A. warum das so ist.

Absolut richtig. Mit dem Umweg über die rote Pille ist mir auch sicherer. Vorerst. Vorsicht ist die Mutter der notekiste.

mit Franco Kernel hab ich wieder ein sehr hohen Anteil
vom Android OS beim Akku ziehen ...
kann das noch Jemand bestätigen?
Ansonsten iss der Verbrauch Normal ...
über Nacht Deep Sleep und in 8 Stunden 7 % wech ... Normal

Habe gerade mal
geguckt, bei mir hat Android OS nach einer Nacht volltanken und einer halben Stunde Internet bei der Fahrt in die Arbeit einen Anteil von 5%. Gestern Nacht hatte ich in 6 Stunden Akku -2%.

Kingdroid v2.0. als Launcher den GoLauncher und Kalagas damit´s ein bisschen bunter ist

Bei mir geht mit franco die wlan leistung zurück. Mit dem Speedmod bleibt sie wie vorher auch.
