Manuelles Firmware Update - wie?

Die folgende Frage htte ich letzte Woche schon an einen alten Thread gehängt, vermutlich unter einer nicht passenden Überschrift. Deshalb hier noch mal ein zweiter Versuch:

Ich habe erhebliche Probleme bei dem Versuch, mein TF300 T manuell mit einer aktuellen Firmware zu versehen. Konkret geht es mir darum, von der werkseitig installierten Version V9.4.3.17 auf die V9.4.3.26 (De special) zu kommen, von wo aus - so meine Hoffnung - weitere Updates dann per OTA möglich sind. Ich habe leider keine Ahnung vom "flashen", "rooten" etc. und habe mich einfach an die folgende Anleitung von der ASUS Homepage gehalten:

[FONT=&quot]4. After the download is complete, unzip the compressed firmware file and save it to your microSD card’s root directory.[/FONT]

Leider war bis jetzt bei Punkt 6 Schluss. In der "notification area" taucht kein Hinweis auf ein entdecktes System Update auf. Ich habe keine Ahnung, was da falsch läuft. Darf ich vielleicht nur einzelne Dateien aus dem entpackten zip Ordner in das Root Verzeichnis der SD Card kopieren? Oder gibt es eine Möglichkeit, das Update per Hand (aus dem Dateimanager?) zu starten?

Hi,

die Datei, die du bei ASUS runter lädst, darfst du nur EINMAL entpacken und diese .zip Datei dann auf die SDCarde speichern.

Hi,
ich habe ein ähnliches Problem, bei mir ist es so, dass die Micro-SD Karte gar nicht zur Auswahl steht.
Muss ich die Datei umbenennen oder irgenwo anders speichern?
