Ja ist wie jedesmal, nur diesmal nicht Nachts.

für alle nochmal, das ist die Version 2.36 (lt. thyrus): #703
das wird sicherlich deckungsgleich mit dem O2-Update sein, aber eben nicht nur für O2, sondern auch für DACH + VF und sicherlich auch andere Provider in anderen Ländern...

ähm ich blick nicht ganz durch, ist das so ne art custom rom? Oo

Eine Anleitung wird es im Blog geben, sobald wir das Release live schalten. Die deutsche Anleitung werden wir hier posten.

Es ist das 2.36 Release worüber bereits einige Infos kursieren.

We have asked our German member to start posting here now as it is very difficult for the rest of G.O.T to follow the conversation as it is primarily in German, which we do not speak.

He needs to translate backwards and forwards, which at the moment is delaying some of our final testing, so if possible stick with English for now.

We will issue our findings in terms of bugs and new features (as you already expected it is a bugfix release) in the next hours.

Bear with us, we work across multiple languages and timeszones, and we will not release the Firmware until all team members have tested and OK'ed it.

mal rein theoretisch besteht so ne sbf doch nur aus nem rahmen und mehreren blockweise getrennten teilen die dann auf die partitionen geflasht werden. so ein block würde sich definitiv auf irgendeinem weg austauschen lassen.

Ausgerechnet heute steck ich fest in nem Meeting bis Mitternacht, anyway - Isch bin ein geduldisch User

Bugfixes in this release

Posted in Firmware releases on 15.06.2010 by groupoften The following known bugs have been fixed within this release. We have done some testing and can confirm these fixes:

1. Media Player resumes and plays music without being user-initiated is fixed
2. Spontaneous reboots did not occur during our testing.
3. Wake-up Alarm and other scheduled events now work properly. Confirmed with the alarm tester the infamous nadlabak has created (many thanks for that)
4. Issues that although WiFi is active the MS cannot connect to authorised APs fixed.
5. Camera displays 7pixel-wide streak on the right hand side when in Widescreen Mode – not fixed
6. Settings widget displays GPS enabled although Navigation and GPS fix no longer required – works as designed to alarm user that GPS functionality remains active in the background
7. Notification LED only lights up when in standby mode (screen disabled) – works as designed

We have tested and verified these within the G.O.T team and during our tests these bugs have no longer occurred. Since every MS is configured differently that does not mean that these may not occur in your particular configuration.

New Features

During out testing, we have discovered these features:
- New Application: Xing
- Camera settings modified slightly
- New security setting, “security lock timeout”
This does not mean that these are the only new features, but these were the ones visible to the naked eye.

IMHO modified software downloads make me nervous (hab da so ein mulmiges Gefühl in der Magengegend), i'd prefer unmodified firmware downloads, so let's wait for froyo and that's it - if there's an unmodified version around somewhere, that would be much better. Since we all (?) have already installed the fix for the alarm bug and busted the default player, this release isn't that useful for us.

Soweit ich das verstehe gibts die modifikationen über OpenRecovery und das SBF ist nicht modifiziert bzw nur das recovery

So würde ich das auch lesen.

Aber einfach warten, laden und ausprobieren. So mache ich das, nachdem ihr hier alle getestet habt.

Na wenn das so ist, währe das durchaus einen Blick wert - die ganzen auf deren Seite angegebenen Modifikationen haben mich da wohl etwas abgelenkt

hoffe das du recht hast dann kann ich damit leben bis froyo kommt

I busted the Telus-Kernel because i was unable to turn off the device. The bugfixes sound good, so why dont test? i'll definitly give it a try...

Alleine deswegen lohnt sich wohl schon der Upgrade.

Allerdings - im Motorola Support Forum berichten z.B. die Hongkonger, dass sie mit 02.36.0 immer noch die Reboots haben... kann's wirklich sein, dass die das nur für die Central Europe Firmware repariert haben?
