Utano Barrier T180 Software Update

Frage an die Utano Barrier Besitzer:

wer hat sein Barrier erfolgreich von Froyo 2.2 auf 2.3.5 upgedated und mit welcher Methode bzw. nach welcher Anleitung?

Grund: ich habe es mit der auf der deutschen Herstellerseite dokumentierten Anleitung versucht - doch bin ich entweder zu blöd oder zu ungeschickt aber ich schaffe es einfach nicht. Vielleicht hat hier jemand noch einen heißen Tipp auf Lager, der mir zum Erfolg fehlt.

Hallo Rainer,

mit der Anleitung vom Hersteller klappts. Ich habs 2x durchgeführt. 1x von 2.2.2 auf 2.3.5 und jetzt auf 2.3.5.1. Achtung: bei der Originalanleitung vom April war m.E. ein Fehler drin. Das Utano hat nicht neu gebootet. Ich habe 10 Minuten gewartet und dann wieder eingeschaltet. Vorher Virenscanner und alternative Taskmanager deinstalliert. Alle Daten waren wie erwartet weg. Warte unbedingt 10 Minuten wenn Du von 2.2.2 her kommst. Drücke keinesfalls vorher eine Taste. Wenn 2.3.5. schon drauf ist, gehts flott auf 2.3.5.1. Das ist m.W. der letzte Stand.

Danke jeanlucpicard64 für Deine Ausführungen. Habe das Utano mittlerweile zwecks Softwareaktualisierung eingeschickt, da ich nicht Deine Geduld aufbringen konnte und bei meinen Versuchen schon viel früher aufgegeben habe.
Ich finde auch, dass die Beschreibung etwas dürftig ist. Der eine oder andere zusätzliche Hinweis wäre mir persönlich sehr hilfreich gewesen. Ich frage mich nur ob wir zwei die einzigen sind, die ihr Utano auf den neuesten Softwarestand bringen wollten oder ob all die anderen User hier im Forum nur etwas schreibfaul sind?
Danke trotzdem - hoffe nur, dass ich mein Utano bald zurückbekomme, sodass ich es endlich richtig nutzen kann.

Hallo, kann ich das Barrier direkt von 2.2 auf 2.3.5.1 updaten, oder ist der Schritt über 2.3.5 notwendig? Beschäftige mich grade noch sehr theoretisch mit dem Thema, da ich bisher absolut 0 Ahnung von Android habe... Aber der Spieltrieb ist geweckt

I updated my Utano Barrier from 2.2 to 2.3.5 without any problems. When I do the update from 2.3.5 to 2.3.5.1, everything seems to be working. However, when the phone is booted automatically after the update, and I go checking the android version in the settings menu, it says 2.3.5. Shouldn't be there 2.3.5.1?

I also don't understand that the same image "factory..." is used for updating to both versions...

Same as above sorry for posting in English, but chrome does a wonderful job of translating. Is it possible for anyone to post the update and the procedure. I have a FortisX - Utano Barrier - etc. etc. and need to get it back to factory as I was tweaking and now having issues with internet access.
By the way, thanks for all that have posted on the barrier. I am trying to get a good image so that I can modify the kernel to allow for overclocking as well as a few other mods. I am in the beginning stages, but I think this phone can be a really great phone with a few tweaks.

Hallo. Ich kann mir leider die firmware nicht von der utano webseite runterladen, da ich ein derivat hab und mir keine passende emei einfällt. Kann mir bitte jemand mit utano emei den direkten pfad zur firmware 2.3.5.1, oder neuer, verraten?

Thank you for your help. I was able to get a copy of the "factory.mbn" and found that on this model "FORTISX" you have to press the camera, volume up, volume down, and power buttons at the same time to get the update. I have version 2.3.5. It is very difficult to extract the update because it is in ".mbn" format, but I will give it a try. I will be using the xda-developers web site for assistance and will post anything here if I am able to improve on the phone.
