Google in Kauflaune: Quickoffice gehört jetzt nach Mountain View

Heute Morgen einen Messaging-Dienst zum Frühstück und zum Nachtisch ein schnelles mobiles Office-Paket? Ob Googles CEOs nun satt sind oder noch etwas als Nachtisch einkaufen, werden wir morgen wissen. Bis dahin können wir über Sinn und Unsinn der heutigen Unternehmen diskutieren, die Google sich einverleibt hat. Dazu gehört nach Meebo nun auch Quickoffice, das sicherlich einigen von euch ein Begriff sein wird. Das Ziel scheint klar: Dokumente lesen, verschicken, bearbeiten und speichern, am Besten alles in der Cloud von GoogleDrive. Die Überschrift der offiziellen Mitteilung aus Mountain View, Kalifornien lautet demnach auch Google + Quickoffice = get more done anytime, anywhere. Ähnlich begeistert zeigt man sich (natürlich) im Hauptquartier von Quickoffice. Momentan bietet Quickoffice neben Office-Lösungen für Smartphones und Tablets im Google Play Store auch Apps für Apples iOS an. Ob Google die Dienste komplett ins eigene Portfolio integriert und wohlmöglich den Support für Konkurrent Apple einstellt oder beides parallel weiterlaufen lässt, wird sich zeigen.
