Ok I own a Odys Neo X8 and have manged to do the update with no problems .I am in hospital at the moment so the Pad is being used a lot and I am trying out lots of Apps and (some Games) Angry Birds is the best I have come across I have the ES Task Manager and the ES File Explorer loaded and both are easy to use.I keep up with the English news using the BBC NEWS App which you just need to update online and then you can read it offline !.It .covers Sport ,World affairs ,and UK News .I also have a nice little program called my Book Light it has a calender, address book ,telephone book ,and even a task log .Ever since I did the first couple of battery charges the load time seems a lot quicker and the battery life is also acceptable .I would really like to know if it is possible to get the apps onto the external MiniSD card that I have bought and inserted .I have by using my Linux Netbook put a few Films onto the card which work very well and I am in the process of entering all of my Photographs because this Smart little Pad is easy to carry round and you can show your photographs from it .The Wlan also works Perfect and I can (sometimes) pick up the Hospital Wlan from two floors below me.So come on guys and gals ! Lets be hearing from you with any tips and tricks or questions THANKS TO THE MODERATOR for giving us this thread .....Now lets use it

Hi Its me again ! I have today formatted my MiniSD card to two primary sections with Fat 32 I insert the card and run Link2SD and it says "could not obtain root access "if you have root access make sure you respond Allow or Grant to the Superuser request
Where or HOW do I get root access my build number is V1.06-20120502
I updated two weeks ago
HOW PLEASE CAN i GET ROOT ACCESS

I have downloaded and used the Photobucket App and it works Perfect ! your photos get sent to your photo-bucket account after you take them ! PERFECT !!

My Neo Is not Neo'ing ṕroperly Angry Birds have packed in and also Amazon App Shop has died

It is a known problem that, except the first parts of Angry Bird, the newer versions are not working on any RK2918 based Tablet.
But the Amazon shop works fine for me.

I had a update from Amazon Appstore Last month and that Finished it for me ! I have no Angry Birds or App Store ! App Store Starts but I can not use it and it will not let me onto my Cloud So all of my Apps are locked up in the Amazon appstore ! I got in touch With Amazon per Telephone 2 weeks ago but to no avail ! .I do know the reason for the Update though ! They are trying to stop people sharing the Apps by way of Email address (I mean anyone can by using the email and password ) install apps on another machine ! This is a typical thing which People would do and spoil things for others who follow the rules I completly cleared my Odys Yesterday and then loaded Appstore and guess what ? Yes it doesnt work .I have the newest Update from Odys but still No good .Maybe it just does not like Englishmen
