Thank you for this guide. Do you have problems with crackling noise from speaker after disabling sounds and some reboots?

We had this problem in the past with disabled sounds and special with no login sound.

What ist the airplanemode for, in this case? A lot of experiences in this community show, that the airplanemode doesn't change anything on the mobile phone standby...

Edit: my called experiences are only associated to ICS.

Aiplanemode ist only one setting. And as you see it only brings 1-3% battery saves.

Except of the sound setting and the widget, I'm using this settings since September and I shut down my A1 most times because of too much battery wastage in standby (deep sleep works fine as far as I remember). Another problem are WLAN reconnecting issues. Because of this a reboot is most often necessary anyway.

I've tried your recommendations and unfortunately had no success:
Battery drained from 84% to 56% during 18 hours standby. :scared:
This ICS battery drain is really annoying...

I think that I have found the solution at least for the high battery drain on my device:
If I remembered right, there was the recommendation to do a factory reset after flashing some earlier Gingerbread subversions.
So I decided to do the same on the ICS version and chose the factory reset from the Settings>Save and Restore menu.
And, surprise, surprise, ICS showed up with below screen after rebooting:

The thing is that before (means: right after flashing ICS) I was lacking all but the Kindle app from the second row of icons (DocsToGo, imo, Norton Security, ES File Explorer, Cut the Rope). All these apps were missing before and showed up for the first time after factory reset.
And the best thing: Battery drain is now about -10% after 18 hours standby without airplane mode enabled - just wifi set to off during standby and location services disabled! Similar to Gingerbread before.
I have to check if the Wifi bug is gone too, but for now I'm happy with.

I don't now if it is a general issue of the flash method described in Lenovo community but all of you missing the mentioned apps on their ICS system should try a factory reset.
