Wichtiger Hinweis vorab:

Weder ich noch Android-Hilfe.de übernehmen eine Garantie für das Funktionieren dieses Tools, noch die Haftung für Schäden an eurem Device!

Ihr solltet euch vor der Nutzung dieses Tools über die Termini, Fachbegriffe etc. hier im Forum informieren und ggf. gezielt nachfragen. Wenn ihr euch über die Folgen eures Handelns nicht sicher seid - laßt es dann lieber bleiben.

Noch ein Tipp für diejenigen, die noch nicht ganz so fit sind bei den Themen Root, Custom-ROM, Kernel & Co: Das GNx-Toolkit ist inzwischen zu einem mächtigen Werkzeug geworden, das nicht nur die im Thread-Titel genannten Vorgänge beherrscht, sondern auch weit umfangreichere Aktionen wie komplette Backups (Nandroid) erstellen oder Custom ROMs und Kernel flashen. Ich kann aber jedem "Neuling" nur empfehlen, sich auf das Öffnen des Bootloaders, Root und ggf. Installation der ClockworkMod-Recovery zu beschränken und alle weiteren Schritte manuell durchzuführen: d.h. ein Nandroid in der CWM zu erstellen, ebenso das Flashen von CR und/oder Kernel - das hat den Vorteil, daß man die einzelnen Schritte genau kontrollieren kann und auch lernt, WAS genau man da eigentlich macht. :)

Schaut auch vielleicht vorher einmal in den "Beginner"-Thread, und auch in das separate Unterforum für Anleitungen!


Hinweise:
• Mit Android 4.2.2 hat Google eine Authentifizierung bei aktiviertem USB-Debugging eingeführt, wenn man das Galaxy Nexus an den PC anschließt - dies führt zu dem Problem, daß adb mit der Meldung "device offline" nicht mehr reagiert.Abhilfe: Das Toolkit korrekt beenden (sonst läuft der adb server weiter!), diese neuen adb-fastboot-Tools herunterladen und in den Toolkit-Ordner entpacken (die bestehenden Dateien werden dabei überschrieben). Beim nächsten Start des Toolkits wird beim Öffnen des Hauptmenüs eine Popup-Meldung angezeigt, ob man USB-Debugging erlauben möchte; dies muß man bejahen, der PC kommt damit auf die sog. "Whitelist". Dann noch "Refresh Main Menü" wählen, dann wird das Galaxy Nexus wieder als Device (also nicht mehr "offline") angezeigt. Eventuell muß man mehrmals das USB-Debugging ein- und wieder ausschalten, bis das Popup erscheint.
Wer die automatische Update-Funktion der Donate-Version nutzt, braucht dies nicht durchzuführen, da dort die neuen adb-Dateien automatisch geladen und ersetzt werden!

• Hinweis für Windows 8: Man muss Win8 (einmalig!) im Reparaturmodus booten (F8 beim Booten drücken) und dort "unsignierte Treiber zulassen" auswählen. Dann kann man die ADB-Treiber installieren, danach Win8 wieder normal booten und Toolkit benutzen. Weitere Hinweise zu Windows 8 gibt es in diesem Hinweis (englischsprachig) des Entwicklers!

• Seit der Version 10 gibt es nun auch die Wahlmöglichkeit, beim Flashen eines originalen Factory-Images die User-Partition nicht zu formatieren, so daß die Daten erhalten bleiben!


Achtung:
Voraussetzung zum Rooten ist das Öffnen des Bootloaders - dabei werden ALLE Daten auf dem GNex gelöscht, auch diejenigen auf der internen "SD-Karte" (Mountpoint: /data/media)! Diese Daten sollten also vorher gesichert werden. Das GNex-Toolkit bietet hierfür entsprechende Möglichkeiten, alternativ kann man ein Backup auch über adb (installiertes SDK vorausgesetzt) durchführen (siehe dieser Thread).

Alternative: Die App BootUnlocker for Galaxy Nexus verspricht das Öffnen des BL ohne diesen Datenverlust! Die App setzt allerdings Root voraus - ist also nur für diejenigen interessant, die ihren Bootloader nachträglich wieder verschließen, nachdem sie Rootrechte haben! ;)

Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Geräten ist es beim Galaxy Nexus (wie bei jedem Nexus-Phone) relativ einfach, den Bootloader zu entsperren, Root zu erlangen, die ClockworkMod-Recovery zu flashen und dann mit Custom ROMs, Kerneln, Radios etc. zu experimentieren. Für "alte Hasen" sind die benötigten Schritte sicherlich fast im Schlaf zu erledigen; für manch einen User ist das GNx aber das erste Gerät, das ihnen nicht mit signierten Bootloadern u.ä. Steine in den Weg legt - und deshalb auch wenig Erfahrungen mit der Thematik hat.

Für diese "Klientel" hat mskip, seines Zeichens Senior Moderator bei den xda-devs, DAS universelle Hacking-Tool für das Galaxy Nexus entwickelt: Das GNex TOOLKIT ermöglicht (großenteils mit einem einzigen Klick):

• Bootloader entsperren / sperren
• Root für alle ICS-Versionen
• Flashen der ClockworkMod Recovery / Restaurieren der Stock-Recovery
• Umbenennen des "Recovery Restore File" (wird nur benötigt, wenn man die CWMR auf einem Stock-ROM behalten will)
• 1-CLICK für alle (!) vorgenannten Schritte
• Flashen des originalen Google Stock ROMs
• Booten in die ClockworkMod Recovery, ohne diese permanent zu installieren
• Booten/Flashen von .img Dateien (im Fastboot Modus)
• Flashen von originalen Factory Images
• Daten vom PC auf das GNx kopieren und umgekehrt (im ADB Modus)
• File Permissions setzen (im ADB-Modus)
• Viele Reboot-Funktionen (sowohl im Fastboot- wie auch ADB Modus)
• Umfangreiche Backup-Möglichkeiten, u.a. auch Unterstützung für Nandroids im CWM-Format
• Unterstützung aller aktuellen Jelly-Bean-Versionen inkl. 4.2.2 (JDQ39!

Benötigt werden:
• Fastboot-Treiber (installierbar über das Toolkit)
(Falls das nicht funktioniert: PdaNet installieren - bei der Installation Samsung wählen; anschließend kann PdaNet wieder deinstalliert werden).
• Alternativ gibt es hier Universal-Treiber.
• Bei Problemen mit der Treiber-Installation hilft dieser Thread; bei manchen Windows-7-Installationen muß Win7 daran gehindert werden, den richtigen Treiber wieder zu überschreiben...
• Das GNex Toolkit V11.1.0

Nach der Installation der Treiber:
• USB-Kabel vom GNx abziehen und Gerät ausschalten.
• Beide Lautstärke-Tasten gedrückt halten, dann Power-Taste drücken und festhalten, bis das GNx im Fastboot Modus ist (erkennbar an einem auf dem Rücken liegen grünen Android-Robot mit geöffneter "Bauchklappe").
• Den Windows-Gerätemanager öffnen zur Kontrolle, ob der Fastboot-Treiber korrekt installiert ist (oder ggf. manuell installiert werden muß).
• Das GNx wieder per USB-Kabel mit dem PC verbinden; im Gerätemanager muß nun eine neuer Eintrag "Android Phone" (ohne Ausrufezeichen) erscheinen - dann ist der Treiber korrekt installiert.

Das Toolkit benutzen:
• Die exe-Datei des Toolkit herunterladen und ausführen; das selbstentpackende Archiv wird in C:\Galaxy Nexus ToolKit entpackt.
• Das GNx nun wieder in den Fastboot Modus (siehe oben) bringen, dann per USB-Kabel am PC anschließen.
• In dem neu angelegten Ordner die Toolkit.exe starten.
Hinweis: Seit der Version 3.0 kann das GNx auch unter laufendem OS per USB angeschlossen werden, da man im Hauptmenü des Tools auch in den Fastboot Modus booten kann!
• Beim 1. Screen wird nach der Build-Nummer (4.0.1, 4.0.2, 4.0.3, 4.0.4, 4.1, 4.1.1, 4.1.2, 4.2, 4.2.1, 4.2.2) und nach dem Modell (GSM oder LTE) gefragt.
• Im nun folgenden Hauptmenü des Tools wird links oben die Seriennummer des Galaxy Nexus angezeigt (sofern der Treiber korrekt installiert wurde), ebenso der Modus (Fastboot oder ADB).
• Nun können die (mit ausführlichen Informationen hinterlegten) Optionen ausgewählt werden!

Wenn du den hast fängst du wieder hier an:
Starte das Toolkit
Verneine die Prüfung auf ein Update
Wähle irgendein Build aus
Dann wählst du die Nummer des Punktes mit der Bezeichnung "Toolkit Settings' ein.
Dort gibt es einen Punkt der heißt 'Acitvate Donators Features'.
Den wählst du aus und gibst den Code ein.

Ei! Von solchen Tools halte ich grundsätzlich nichts. Für den Anfänger ist das ein gefundenes Fressen, da er sich, ohne groß Ahnung zu haben, gleich mal ans schrotten seines Device machen kann.

Ich habe diese Anleitung schon vor längerer Zeit im xda-forum entdeckt. Jetzt ist sie hier angekommen. :scared:

Das Wissen, was die einzelnen Schritte zu bedeuten haben und was diese Bewirken, fehlt der Klientel "Anfänger" voll und ganz. Man kommt nicht umher, sich vorher, wie Du ja auch oben geschrieben hast, zu informieren. Ich befürchte aber, dass dies die wenigsten tun werden.

Naja! Egal! Das Danke von mir hast Du allein für die sehr gut beschriebene Anleitung bekommen. UND: Das Du World Of Nexus lobend, aus meiner Sicht, erwähnt hast. :thumbup:

Ich finde sowas gut, wahr bisher zu faul das zu rooten ^^ aber damit mache ich das gerne, da ich ich zu anfangszeiten des galaxy S schon den ganzen root quatsch manuell gemacht habe ;)

Ich kann das wirklich nur so unterschreiben.
Ich sehe mich selbst als Anfänger, da ich mit dem GN umgestiegen bin auf Android.
Es hat mich ein paar Stunden hier im Forum gekostet bis ich mein Gerät vom lock befreit hatte, danach rooten konnte und die ein oder andere Änderung danach vornehmen konnte.
Der Vorteil daran ist aber, dass ich bei jedem Schritt verstanden habe was ich da mache und vor allem was da passiert und wie ich es rückgängig machen kann.
Klar solche Tools sind zwar nett, weil sie einfach sind.
In meinen Augen ist es dann aber nur eine Frage der Zeit bis hier die Threads auftauchen mit: "Hilfe mein GN macht das und das nach dem Tool nicht mehr!"

Von daher ,deine Arbeit Lion wirklich sehr löblich, jedoch frage ich mich, ob die Energie in einer anderen Anleitung vielleicht besser aufgehoben wäre.
 
Ich habe zugegebenermaßen schon ein paar Tage über Sinn oder Unsinn solcher Tools (und entsprechender Anleitungen) nachgedacht; ich gebe euch allen recht, daß sie ein zweischneidiges Schwert sein können und man den "manuellen" Weg bevorzugen sollte - aus dem einfachen Grund, daß man dann auch eher versteht, was man da eigentlich macht. :)

Auf der anderen Seite dauert es meist nicht lange, bis solche Tools und die dazugehörigen Anleitungen auch hier bei AH.de landen; die Erfahrung zeigt aber, daß dann meist nur verlinkt wird oder eben der Originaltext mehr oder minder 1:1 kopiert wird.

Ich werde den Warn-Hinweis noch stärker hervorheben und besser auch an den Anfang der Anleitung setzen.

Habe mein GN auch über das Tool unlocked/rooted und es hat alles beim ersten mal funktioniert! Danke
 
Ich habe den Ordner entpackt finde aber die runme.bat datei nicht! Es sind mehrere Anwendungsdateien zu sehen aber eben nicht die runme.bat!
 
In der v4 wurde runme.bat umbenannt. Bin jetzt nicht zuhause, aber eine *.bat ist vorhanden, mit der man das Programm starten kann.
 
Du hast recht - mit der v4.0 ist das geändert worden, die Startdatei heißt nun "TOOLKIT.bat". Ich ändere das mal im Eingangspost. ;)

Ich habe ein Nexus mit gelocktem Bootloader und Stockrom.
Im Toolkit steht unter "2. Backup and Restore your Phone", kann ich mit dieser Option mein Stock-Nexus komplett sicher, dann den Bootloader entsperren und dann alles wieder zurückspielen?
 
Ich will auf meinem Nexus nur Root rechte haben. Der rest kann bleiben wie es ist, kann ich das mit diesem Tool machen?
 
Root setzt beim GNx einen offenen Bootloader voraus - den mußt du auf jeden Fall vorher entsperren, wobei halt leider alle Daten gelöscht werden.

@Bob@Desire: Das kann ich dir leider nicht beantworten, da ich es selbst nicht ausprobiert habe.

Im Originalthread wird explizit darauf hingewiesen, daß das Tool sonst nicht funktionieren würde - warum auch immer... ;)
 
Guten Tag,
Kann ich das Tool auch verwenden, wenn ich ein Gerät aus dem Saturn habe?
Und ich hatte mit meinem PC schon damals das Desire geflashed. Dort habe ich auch einen modifizierten Treiber installiert. Ist dies Wurst?

Das Tool solltest Du auch nutzen können wenn es aus dem Saturn ist. Was sollte denn dagegen sprechen?

Ich weis nicht ob die Treiber von Desire und SGN gleich sind. Ich würde allerdings schon die Treiber für das SGN installieren. Ich geh mal davon aus, dass es einen Grund hat, dass es speziell für das SGN welche gibt. ;)
