This is a custom recovery based on Cyanogen's v1.4 recovery.
The purpose of this recovery is to avoid using adb by accessing all features directly from the menu.

Features

• full ADB access in recovery mode
• Busybox
• Extended menu (with keyboard-shortcuts):
  • Nandroid v2.2 backup and restore
  • Regular update.zip flash
  • Flash any .zip from your SD-card
  • Wipe data + cache (factory reset)
  • Wipe ext partition on SD-card
  • Wipe Dalvik-cache on SD-card (NOT on /data !)
  • Partition SD-card : 500MB Ext2, 32MB Swap, remaining Fat32
  • Partition SD-card : Only Fat32
  • Repair ext filesystem
  • Convert ext2 to ext3
  • Fix package UID mismatches
  • Fix auto-rotate issues
  • Toggle USB-Mass storage on and off
• Scripts available via adb :
  • BART v0.9.2 (Backup and Restore Tool) : enter "utility" to start.
  • switchrom.sh V1.1 : enter "switchrom" to start.
  • sdparted v0.5.3 : enter "sdparted" to start.

• Aligned the Hero version with the Dream version.
• Replaced the GREEN-key by the HOME-key for confirmation
• Removed the menu title to create more space
• Added Wipe SD dalvik-cache
• Added Rotate fix
• Removed "Move apps to SD" because it's automatically implemented by most ROMs already.
• Added confirmation before performing a nandroid backup
• Set swap back to 32MB instead of 96MB when doing an auto partition SD-card from the menu
• Upgraded fix_permissions to v1.31-R3
• Added BART v0.9.2
• Fixed many bugs (mostly in scripts)

wenn mans denn draufkriegen würde. bei mir gehts per flashrec nämlich leider nicht wirklich. krieg immer
"cannot run command"

Ich machte ein Backup von der Modaco 2.-.- und flashte auf die offizielle FW_HTC Hero_RUU_Hero_HTC_WWE_2.73.405.5_WWE_release_signed_NoDriver
.
Damit installierte ich das neue Recovery und macht in der neuen Recovery ein Wipe und flashte das Backup.Es muß auch noch das neue Radio updatet werden.

Aber Ihr ,könnt es gerne anders machen.
