Ordentlicher Lesezeichen-Sync?

heute hatte ich von Xmarks folgende Email in meinem Postfach:

Da ich auch ohne Android-App bereit gewesen wäre, einen Jahresbeitrag von 12US$=9,67€ zu bezahlen, wenn Xmarks gesagt hätte: "Wir machen nur noch mit bezahlten Accounts weiter.", nahm ich das Angebot wahr und wandelte meinen Zugang zum Premium-Service um (Achtung! Eine automatische jährliche Verlängerung ist dort vorausgewählt.) und lud mir die App aus dem Market herunter.

Die Synchronisation klappt problemlos und es ist wie am Rechner ein Sync-Profil auswählbar. Trotzdem ist die App ist noch etwas verbesserungswürdig. Denn die Bookmarks sind (bei mir jedenfalls) nur in der App verfügbar. Bei Auswahl eines Bookmark wird die Seite im Standardbrowser geöffnet. Leider kann man auch nicht aus dem Systembrowser heraus über bspw. das Kontextmenü direkt einen neuen Bookmarkeintrag anlegen, sondern muss das mit Copy&Paste in der App machen. Auch würde ich mir in der App eine Option wünschen, bei der ich beim Öffnen der App gleich an eine bestimmte Stelle springe. Denn im Moment sieht man beim Öffnen der App erstmal die Einträge Bookmarks, Open Remote Taps, Unsortierte Lesezeichen sowie Lesezeichen-Symbolleiste und muss dann (unnötigerweise) noch einen weiteren Klick machen, um seine Bookmarks zu sehen.

Insgesamt bin ich aber zufrieden damit.

Stimmt, die App habe ich auch seit letzter Woche installiert.
Ich war kurzfristig auf dem FF Sync ausgewichen, was aber mit dem Folio nicht lief.
Jetzt hab ich xmarks auf allen Rechnern und Mobiles und es läuft prima.


Eine Integration im Browser (am liebsten Dolphin) wäre ebenso wünschenswert, wie ein Widget (ähnlich dem von Dolphin).

PhoneMarks nehm ich. Funktioniert aus Chrome heraus gut.

Ich suche auch danach und Xmarks kommt da schon recht nahe.
Allerdings stört mich auch das extra Programm. Viel besser wäre ein automatischer Import in die Standardlesezeichen des Browsers.
Vielleicht kommt das ja noch!?

Naja, es existiert dies Option "Sync folder with browser". Hier kann man, so wie ich es verstehe, ein Verzeichnis auswählen welches direkt mit dem Standard-Browser synchronisiert wird. Doch leider funktioniert es bei mir nicht und ich habe noch keine Forums-/Entwicklerseite gefunden, wo man etwas genaueres über diese Funktion erfährt. Das es generell zu funktionieren scheint, beweist dieser Frustbeitrag auf Appbrain:

very disappointed that this does not sync the complete profile set up for the Android browser-- just one folder. BUT the APP does get the entire profile with multiple folders. So, you can access XMarks as an app and click on your links (which will open your default browser). Since I use DolphinHD, this works for me. Also, the links cannot be sorted either in the app or on the website! How could this possibly be overlooked?? The only work-around I found was to sort in Chrome, do a sync, then empty the android cache, then resync. Very cumbersome! But... the app is on the right track.

Ich nehm das Thema nochmal auf.

Inzwischen gibts ja auch ein Plugin für Dolphin, allerdings nur für Premiumkunden. Kennt jemand eine Möglichkeit, bei Bedarf die Bookmarks von Chrome in den Dolphin zu schaufeln?

Soll schon einfach und seamless sein - hab jetzt gerade zu meinem Lastpass Premium auch noch Xmarks Premium hinzugebucht. Die 20$ im Jahr ist mir das wert, synchrone Lesezeichen auf 5 Rechnern (davon 2 Android) zu haben
