Hallo ihr lieben,
ich bin gerade in Jakarta und habe die Möglichkeit das OPPO Find N5 zu kaufen.
Vor dem Kauf hab ich mir die Bänder angeschaut:
2G GSM: 900/1800MHz
3G WCDMA: 900/2100MHz
4G LTE FDD: Bands 1/3/5/8
4G LTE TDD: Band 40
5G NR: n1/n3/n5/n8/n40
Chat-GPT sagt dazu folgendes:
Germany's Carrier Band Support
Major networks: Telekom (T-Mobile), Vodafone, O2 (Telefónica)
2G (GSM)
900 / 1800 MHz – Fully supported
Your phone supports both: OK.
3G (WCDMA/UMTS)
900 / 2100 MHz – Fully supported
Your phone supports both: OK.
Note: 3G is being phased out across Germany (mostly already shut down), so not crucial.
4G (LTE)
FDD Band 1 (2100 MHz) – Used by Vodafone & Telekom – Supported
FDD Band 3 (1800 MHz) – Widely used – Supported
FDD Band 5 (850 MHz) – Less common, used in rural areas – Supported
FDD Band 7 (2600 MHz) – Missing from your phone – used in urban areas
FDD Band 8 (900 MHz) – Supported
TDD Band 20 (800 MHz) – Important rural band – Not supported
TDD Band 40 (2300 MHz) – Used in some cases – Supported
5G (NR)
n1/n3/n5/n8/n40 – All used or planned in Germany
But you're missing:
n28 (700 MHz) – used in rural areas
n78 (3500 MHz) – Main 5G mid-band in Germany – Missing, this will limit 5G performance
Summary
2G/3G: Fully supported (though 3G is largely retired).
4G LTE: Mostly supported, but missing Band 20 (800 MHz), which is important in rural areas. You might experience weaker LTE coverage outside cities.
5G: Some bands supported, but missing n78, which is the main fast 5G band in Germany. You’ll get limited or slower 5G, mostly in areas with refarmed bands like n1 or n3.
Verdict
Urban usage: Very good performance on 4G and partial 5G.
Rural usage: Some coverage gaps or slower speeds due to missing LTE Band 20 and 5G n28/n78.
Overall: Will work well but not at full 5G/LTE potential, especially outside cities.
If you mostly live in cities or care more about general connectivity than full 5G speed, it's a good match. Otherwise,
a European model might serve you better.
K
