Nachdem man Skype einmal deinstalliert hat, kann man es nicht neu installieren (angeblich kein Speicherplatz, was nicht stimmt). Dieses Problem gab es wohl schon auf anderen Handys. Bin u.a. auf diese Lösung gestoßen, die aber auf dem P970 nicht funktioniert, weil es die entsprechende Datei nicht gibt:
"when trying to re-install skype, at the end of the download I get a message that the installment failed due to "insufficient storage available."
the solution is, You need to delete the folder
/data/data/com.skype.raider
after that You can re-install skype without any problems.
I used the program rootexplorer to do the job.
You might need root (superuser) rights to do the job."
