SGS 2/ SGS 3 ( d2att and d2 vzw)

• You will see two Galleries, one with upto 8MP camera, one with picasa sync ( part of common). It stays that way as i like the picasa sync feature, but you can remove it from common 2.2 before flashing.

Known Issues for 2.2 ( Do Not Report)

• kill app via customizable nav bar restarts systemUI.
• NFC doesn't work on d2att and d2vzw
• 1-5 lockscreen cuts off a bit at the bottom, not a real issue as you can get to all 5, use 6-8, all is well. it moves up.
• GPS sees fewer sats but locks on some devices, temp fix seems to be to grab libandroid_servers.so from CM10, push it in. mnazim has a flashable zip, credit him for that.
• In Gnex and Nexus 7, if the shortcut to camera doesn't work, go to settings, interface, lockscreen, slider shortcuts, select it again by touching the big text message that gets displayed.

This version is probably the most feature rich version of slim but keeps the slim concept well and good. Lots of effort ( i mean lots 3-4 hrs a day) fellas has gone into this. I expect every single user to read this carefully. Will really appreciate it. Do hit the thanks button and donate if possible.

How to Install:

• Download device.zip and common 2.2 .zip
• Wipe cache/dalvik, Flash device FIRST, then common, then whatever extras/addons you need
• If there are problems, repeat step 2 but with a full wipe and format /system. Enjoy!

Edit: Was ist eigentlich /system/data/com.android.vending-1.apk muss ich mit dem guten Stück auch irgendwas anstellen wenn ich einen der Markets von XDA nehmen möchte?

Lösung gefunden.

Ich habe mit dem build.prob editor ro.sf.lcd_density auf 240 gestellt, da mir die größere Schrift sowieso besser gefällt.
Wohl aber viel wichtiger ist: ro.product.device
von
ro.product.device=galaxysmtd
auf
ro.product.device=GT-I9000
geändert.

Danke für den Tip, leider ist das sehr anwendungsspezifisch, die eine app geht mit den device settings, die andere mit deinen settings. Da hilft nur ausprobieren oder gleich die prob.build auf ein anderes device ändern wo alle Apps drauf laufen. Anleitung dazu gibt's hier auch im forum!

SlimBean 2.3 ist draußen, aber laut XDA haben einige User Probleme damit

Changelog All Devices:

• Latest sync with AOSP source
• Added UMS, MTP , PTP options via settings, storage
• Browser FC fix when scrolling
• GPS Fixed natively, no patch needed

How to Install:

• Download your device zip
• Download Slim Gapps ( no more common)
• Enter recovery, wipe cache, dalvik, flash Device first, then slim gapps. If you flash another gapps, you will break multi dpi market. Don't post in the thread with issues.
• If wipe cache/dalvik gave you issues, do a full wipe & format system

So it was my mistake I missed the libs in the build process when we changed some things. And when I flashed Devil kernel (that included such libs) I assumed semaphore was outdated. My mistake sorry Stratosk.

Installiert die fehlenden libs

Hallo zusammen, bin neu in der SGS Materie und habe die Rom nun installiert und konfiguriert. Erstmal danke, ist megaschnell und toll. Nun wollte ich mal verschiedene Kernels testen und z.B. beim Semaphore JB 2.0.6 steht "Dieser Kernel basiert auf pawitp's Kernel (aus CM10) und funktioniert mit Android 4.1.1 JB ROMs ohne /datadata Partition." => Kann ich den Kernel mit dieser ROM benutzen? Nicht das ich mir wieder alles zerschieße

Hab meine 2.2 gerade auch auf die 2.3 geupdatet.
Mit dem YouTube-Fix kann ich keine Probleme mit Videos feststellen (hab gerade mal schnell eins in der YouTube APK angeschaut)
Das einzige was mir fehlte war News and Weather (GenieWidget.apk), die kann man aber aus der extras.zip klauen und manuel nach /system/app/ installieren.

Ach was dumme Fragen gibt es nicht.
Installieren kannst du alle Kernels ohne datadata die 4.1.1 unterstützen.
In die nähere Auswahl fallen da aber wohl nur Sema und Devil.

In der X-Bean Rom hatte ich den Devilkernel, muss zugeben der Sema gefällt miir besser.
Fühlt sich etwas schneller an.

Alle Angaben aber ohne Gewähr! Bei Kernels bin ich selber Neuling!

Ich seh gerade in der build.prob wird nun auch wieder GT-I9000 als device verwendet, mein Tipp von der letzten Seite zählt damit nur für Version 2.2

1. glaube schon, teste doch einfach selbst ......

2. Ja, ist bereits sehr ausgereift und nein, ich kann einen Wechsel nur empfehlen, obwohl die v2.3 etwas "verpfuscht" ist wie ich finde. Das liegt aber nicht am Entwickler selber, eher am Builder -> ein User von XDA hat das builden für das GT9000 übernommen.
