P3v12 released :)

xda-developers - DevDB

Re-based the mod on 6.2.030 for the version with Time Lapse & included support for the Pixel 3a
Most settings from the previous APK were ported but some confusing or non-essential options were removed
Add option to enable 4k Time Lapse (thanks Arnova8G2)
Add Portrait Zoom setting to choose between Pixel 2/3 default (1.2x) or Pixel 3a default (2.0x)
Manual Exposure Slider & Manual ISO Slider are split into 2 options. Manual ISO remains 'experimental' in the sense it doesn't always use the ISO you specify. Manual Exposure Slider is for HDR+ Enhanced or Night Sight.
Added a Lib Loader by KoopahTManiac. It provides a faster and easier way to apply custom libs while reducing APK size. When you first launch GCam you may want to go to P3 Mod Settings>Custom Lib>Get Updates then choose a lib you want (Stock may be a good starting point). After the app restarts, go ahead and swipe it away from recents and this will stop the persistant message box until you change libs again.

Savitar ZA v2: Flatter tonemap, stock Noise Reduction, stock sharpness
Fi v2: Stock tonemap, reduced Noise Reduction, stock sharpness
Fi v4a: Flatter tonemap (Savitar ZA), reduced Noise Reduction, stock sharpness
I have not tested esz libs at this points

I would like to thank all contributors and people who have helped me thus far, and the testers!

Q: "I already have a Pixel, why do I need to use a GCam mod?"
A: Here are the added benefits of Camera P3:

All Pixels:

Custom Lib options to reduce black crush, improve details, and/or increase clarity
Ability to choose 4K Time Lapse quality
Ability to choose zoom level in Portrait Mode of 1.2x or 2.0x (for the rear camera)
Ability to choose to enable HDR+ Enhanced for Portrait Mode
Option to have quicker access to Night Sight by "permanently" adding the little message at the bottom regardless of measured light (admittedly it disappears if you capture a photo in regular mode)
Option to increase shutter speed and frames in Night Sight for potentially "better" Night Sight photos
Option to disable the "Learning AWB" in HDR+ Enhanced/Night Sight
Option for manual shutter speed & ISO
Face warping is completely disabled

In addition to the above, these are the added features for specific devices (when compared to the stock app):

Pixel 1:

Portrait Mode (only when a "human face" is detected, does not work on objects/animals like Pixel 2, 3, 3a)
Removes the HDR+ mode reset on launch or when leaving settings
Synthetic Fill Flash (brightens faces when there is a strong backlight)
Motion Photos & Top Shot (if you have the correct Google Photos APK installed)
HEVC option
Photobooth
Adds focus button in Night Sight (Auto/Near/Far)
Tracking Autofocus in Photo mode
Super Res Zoom sharpening algorithm

Pixel 2:

"Learned Depth" for Portrait Mode which provides, usually, a more accurate depth detection and more pleasing bokeh
Synthetic Fill Flash (brightens faces when there is a strong backlight)
Top Shot (if you have the correct Google Photos APK installed)
HEVC option
Photobooth
Adds focus button in Night Sight (Auto/Near/Far)
Tracking Autofocus in Photo mode
Super Res Zoom sharpening algorithm

Pixel 3:

-Adds 60ps option to top bar in Video mode

Pixel 3a:

Synthetic Fill Flash (brightens faces when there is a strong backlight)

Welche Google Fotos.apk benötigt man denn für Topshot?

Wenn das noch stimmt :

1) Install this Google Photos https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google...load/download/

2) Open P3 Mod and set Motion to Auto or On

3) If the camera takes a Motion Photo, then you can open Google Photos, select your photo, then SWIPE UP and you'll see the strip of photos.

4) If you don't see a "Pick a Better Shot" in GOOGLE PHOTOS then clear app data of Camera P3 and try again with Motion On/Auto.

5) Motion On works more reliably.

6) Go to this page and click the menu button -> uncheck Auto Update https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...id.apps.photos

For Android 9 (Pie) - Q Developer Preview issues are not addressed

Click here if you get an error about Storage Space on Android Q: https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...&postcount=920
The HDR Processing notifcation may get stuck on Android Q. You may be able to hide it within settings, but I do not know if GCam still runs in the background draining battery.

P3v12.6_GoogleCamera_6.2.030.apk
mirror: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/a.../dev-cstark27/
  • Adjusted sliders and made them a little less "sticky"
  • Added frame count selection
  • Added a Light Trail button to experiment with long exposure light trails. Enable the toggle, then a new icon will show on the viewfinder to enable/disable it as desired. Thanks @back.rider555 for the icons and @KoopahTManiac for the viewfinder button code
  • Brought manual focus slider back. Remember you may need to tap the screen after adjusting, and before capturing. I will try to work on this more eventually.
  • Fixed HDR Processing check so it doesn't restart the app when you change a setting and a photo is processing
  • Fixed HEVC for some Pixel devices

Android 10 :)

mirror: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/a.../dev-cstark27/

  • Small improvement to Google Photos delay for Photo and Night Sight modes in Android 10
  • Google Photos viewer is forced (you must have it installed)
  • Portrait Mode, Photo Booth, Photo Sphere photos will still be delayed currently (can be resolved by capturing more photos or swiping Google Photos away from task switcher)
  • The thumbnail in Google Camera will still disappear if you hadn't clicked on it while it was processing but if you open GPhotos you should still see your photo

In my testing, swiping Photos away from Recents and opening it again will refresh the photos...

PXv3.0
PXv3.0_GoogleCamera_7.2.010.apk

Mirror: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/a.../dev-cstark27/

As tested on a Pixel 2 (but mods were applied in a universal manner):

* Enable Astro mode for Pixel 1 & 2
* Enable Focus options in Night Sight (along with "infinity" - may be same as far)
* Modded lib for Learned Depth in Portrait Mode (Pixel 2)
* Enable Super Res Zoom while zoomed or in Night Sight (no zoom required) - this is like Pixel 3 stock
* Enable auto timer (photobooth), it's in the selfie camera in the Timer options
* Enable synthetic fill flash for Pixel 2 and enable SFF in Camera mode for 3a

More advanced options/features to come later, please don't ask about them...For now it's a quick mod for those who want an "upgraded stock"-like app for their Pixel 1 or 2.

Kleines Update :)

Xv3.3_GoogleCamera_7.2.010.apk

Pixel 1 - Remove HDR+ reset

Pixel 3 - Add 1080p 60fps button

All - Add "Maximum Zoom Override" in PX Mod Settings. For fun/experimental. Allows you to zoom up to 5 times higher than the stock APK. With Super Res Zoom it is OK, but sometimes a cropped 5-7x is similar in quality. So just play with it for fun. This depends on the Camera2 API, so zoom levels will vary between devices. The Pixel 4 should not use this because there is some kind of restriction and zoom past 8x switches back to the main lens - I would like to look into correcting this, but haven't been able to fix it yet...it might require root.

Es gibt ein größeres Update der App, auch mit neuem Namen, bzw installiert sie sich parallel zu der bisherigen PX Camera App im App drawer.
Initial release based off Google Camera 7.2.014. Supported features are shown in the image below. "Default" means your stock app already has this feature; "Y"/"OK" means this was added to the listed device; "N/A"/"Disabled" means the feature could not be enabled for the listed device, either because of unsolved crashes, missing hardware, or messing up a fundamental function.
An extra shout out to marcello for the initial Lib Patcher, further implemented and tweaked by johngalt1, and Urnyx05 for some Android 9 fixes.

Some notable features:
Hold the camera switch icon for quick access to settings.

Lib Patcher: this can be used to modify certain parameters like sharpness and noise removal amount. The settings here will depend on what you like, there is no "best" setting. Please read the info in "Learn More" within the app under the enable button.

The max exposure setting can be adjusted but does not mean it will always choose this shutter speed. GCam will automatically detect certain parameters and choose the most optimal shutter speed. A stock Pixel 1 supports up to 2s, Pixel 2 up to 4s, Pixel 3/3a up to 12s, Pixel 4 up to 30s. Using Magisk Modules in post #2 can make this longer, but Google decided on 16s due to star trails and the perception of blur being about the limit around 16s.

There are 2 buttons that can be added to Night Sight. Forced Astro mode, and Light Painting Mode. Use a tripod or tripod-like structure for Light Painting Mode or if the scene is really dark. Handheld will not be good.

update from @back.rider555, @johngalt1, and myself.
  • Requirements:
  • OS: Android 9 or 10
  • Device: Google Pixel series (some other devices may work, but are not supported in the traditional sense - please do not post in this thread about non Pixel devices)
  • Bug report template: https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...69&postcount=3
  • Astrophotography instructions: https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...postcount=1507

    • Enabled horizon level
    • Manipulate Non-ZSL Frame Count setting to allow up to 45 frames (more is not always better though)
    • "Tone Curve" added to Lib Patcher settings to adjust contrast/highlights/shadows (click Tap Here to Learn More for help)

    • Code cleanup and preferences cleanup
