Warum findet mein Telefon kein Update?
Das Update wird in der Regel erst nach 21h freigeschaltet.

Warum dauert das Update so lange?
Das Pixel hat zwei Partitionen, das Betriebssystem ist quasi doppelt im Speicher.
Wenn ein Update kommt, wird es auf die nicht verwendete Version aufgespielt.
Anschließend werden Apps/Einstellungen von der aktiven Version mit der bislang nicht verwendeten abgeglichen.
Schließlich wird der Cache aller Apps zurückgesetzt (Optimierung).
Wenn das alles erledigt ist, wird man zum Neustart aufgefordert.
Dabei wird dann auf die bislang nicht verwendete Version mit erfolgtem Update umgeschaltet.

Damit man das Telefon währenddessen weiter nutzen kann, passiert das alles im Hintergrund mit niedriger Priorität.
Deshalb dauert es, und deshalb ist es egal, ob das Update nur ein kB oder mehrere MB groß ist.
Denn nicht die Änderung dauert, sondern das danach.

Der Vorteil ist, läuft beim Update etwas schief, kann auf die Version vor dem Update umgeschaltet werden.

Tipp: Wenn ein Update kommt, Abends ans Netzteil, Update starten und am nächsten Morgen neu starten.

Warum ist der Google Play Sicherheitsstand nicht aktuell?
Das Google-Play-Systemupdate ist unabhängig vom monatlichen Pixel-Sicherheitsupdate.
Es ist also durchaus normal, wenn der Google Play Sicherheitsstand älter ist!

Update ist durch und alles funktioniert. Auch das 5G in Portugal ist freigeschaltet.

Und was mich so richtig freut, jetzt funktioniert (in Österreich mit A1) auch WiFi-Calling / WLAN-Anrufe, auf das ich aufgrund meiner Empfangsstation schon ewig gewartet habe. Auch das „handover-takeover“ WiFi / LTE-Netz funktioniert problemlos. Lang hat es gedauert, aber jetzt passt es. ☺

Ich lass es, wie eigentlich immer in letzter Zeit, kommen wenn es kommt. Brauche das Update nicht an Tag 1.

ich muss das auch nicht sofort und genau bis zum 1. um xy uhr haben,
aber schön überhaupt wieder welche zu kriegen, bei meinem LG G5 war seit jahren funkstille und das macht auf dauer doch nervös....

Die zweite Nacht in Folge wurde mein pixel 6a über Nacht am Kabel hängend, das ansonsten einwandfrei funktioniert, nicht aufgeladen (Wecker war wie davor auch immer aktiv).
Könnte ev im Zusammenhang stehen mit der Änderung bei Adaptive Charging...?

Bei mir funktioniert es noch wie gehabt.
Bei mir war's aber mal genau so. Kabel war schuld. Manchmal hats geladen in der Nacht, manchmal nicht. Hab dann das Kabel getauscht und seitdem geht's wieder

Werde in den nächsten Nächten mal selbes Kabel das immer funktioniert hat und das Google Original Ladekabel mit und ohne adaptive charging testen

Sonst ein paar Einschätzungen zum Update? Etwas besser oder schlechter? Bin mit dem vorherigen Stand eigentlich momentan super zufrieden, vor allem da nach dem April Update bei mir die Akkulaufzeit nochmal spürbar besser wurde und beim 7a liest man hin und wieder, dass die Akkulaufzeit nach dem Update schlechter geworden sein soll.

Ich habe das Gefühl das mein Akku seit dem Update schlechter geworden ist.

Und bei mir ist der Datendurchsatz in den Keller gerauscht...Vorher hatte ich am Arbeitsplatz (mit 4G+) ca. 50MBit, nun mit 5G gerade noch 2.8Mbit und Upload 3.6Mbit (vorher 30Mbit).....dafür steht neu im Display 5G

Schalt mal 5G ab und teste nochmal. Evtl. ist nur ein neuer 5G Mast in Betrieb genommen worden, der nun bevorzugt wird weil er die neuere Technik ist obwohl er eigentlich schlechter ist.

Gefühlt hat sich bei mir der Stromverbrauch erhöht. War vorher besser.

Ich habe eher vom Gegenteil das Gefühl, gestern war Durchschnitt, heute komme ich lange mit aus, habe jetzt noch 23%, normal hätte ich schon nach geladen. Das Update habe ich von Dienstag auf Mittwoch nach installiert, Mittwoch nach aufstehen neugestartet.

Hab gerade nachgeguckt und es läuft jetzt, wird aber sicherlich noch eine Weile dauern, also dann gleich erstmal Augen zu machen

Die haben ja das mit der unsinnigen Funktion der Akkurestlaufzeit in Tagen/Stunden wieder rausgenommen.
Oder ist die Funktion vor zwei Monaten gar nicht so gekommen wie geplant (war meine Hoffnung/Vermutung, da die eigentlich echt kaum einen Mehrwert hatte)... Endlich wieder Platz für die Icons oben, wenn man die Statusleiste runterzieht.
