Warum findet mein Telefon kein Update?
Die OTA-Updates werden z.T. erst später freigeschaltet.
Warum dauert das Update so lange?
Das Pixel hat zwei Partitionen, das Betriebssystem ist quasi doppelt im Speicher.
Wenn ein Update kommt, wird es auf die nicht verwendete Partition aufgespielt.
Anschließend werden Apps/Einstellungen von der aktiven Partition mit der bislang nicht verwendeten abgeglichen.
Schließlich wird der Cache aller Apps zurückgesetzt (Optimierung).
Wenn das alles erledigt ist, wird man zum Neustart aufgefordert.
Dabei wird dann auf die bislang nicht verwendete Partition mit erfolgtem Update umgeschaltet.
Damit man das Telefon währenddessen weiter nutzen kann, passiert das alles im Hintergrund mit niedriger Priorität.
Deshalb dauert es, und deshalb ist es egal, ob das Update nur ein kB oder mehrere MB groß ist.
Denn nicht die Änderung dauert, sondern das danach.
Der Vorteil ist, läuft beim Update etwas schief, kann auf die Version vor dem Update umgeschaltet werden.
Tipp: Wenn ein Update kommt, Abends ans Netzteil, Update starten und am nächsten Morgen neu starten.
Momentan arbeitet Google aber an der Update-Prozedur, damit die Updates schneller installiert werden.
Warum ist der Google Play Sicherheitsstand nicht aktuell?
Das Google-Play-Systemupdate ist unabhängig vom monatlichen Pixel-Sicherheitsupdate.
Es ist also durchaus normal, wenn der Google Play Sicherheitsstand älter ist!

Remove sunglasses, fix a smile and more with personalized edits in Google Photos.
Ever get the perfect group shot, only to realize you forgot to take off your sunglasses and your best friend's eyes are closed? Just open the Google Photos app, select the photo, tap “Help me edit” and ask Photos to “Remove my sunglasses and open Kat’s eyes.” Photos will fix the image by using other pictures in your gallery that you’ve labeled and organized in your face groups to ensure a personalized and natural look.
You can make other fixes too — like asking Photos to remove your mom’s hat or changing a smirk into a smile. Eligible Android users in the U.S. can try asking Photos to apply these personalized edits.
Scam Detection for chat messages
Scam Detection automatically checks notifications of chat messages from many popular apps for potential scams. It shows a "Likely scam" alert on notifications of messages that seem suspicious, giving you an early warning to help you avoid fraud. (7)

Access Pixel’s fan-favorite features in more regions & languages
We’re bringing some of Pixel’s most helpful features to more users around the world. Scam Detection in Phone by Google, which uses powerful AI to detect and warn you of speech patterns commonly used by scammers on phone calls, is now available to Pixel 9+ users in the U.K., Ireland, India, Australia and Canada. Users in more regions, including Australia, Canada, the U.K., Ireland, and India can access Call Notes. Call Notes uses Gemini Nano on-device to record your calls, take notes, generate a transcript and summary, and provide next-steps based on your conversation, making information easily retrievable and actionable. Users in Japan can now also record their conversation and generate a full transcript of the discussion with Call Notes. The transcript is saved directly to their call log, giving them a complete record they can review at any time. (14)
My Pixel app is now available to use in Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, and Spain. My Pixel app is your one-stop spot for learning about new features, troubleshooting, getting support, and shopping for the latest Pixel devices and accessories.
Lastly, the Recorder app's summarization feature expands to new languages on Pixel 9 phones (Hindi, Italian, and Traditional Chinese) and Pixel 8 phones (English, Japanese, German, French, Hindi, Italian, and Traditional Chinese).
When will I see the new features?
Supported Pixel devices will receive these software updates starting today. The rollout of these features will continue over the coming weeks in phases depending on carrier and device.
You will receive a notification once the system update is available for your device. Update to the latest Android version and update your apps, then look out for a notification from the My Pixel app to learn more about all of the ways your Pixel just got more helpful.
