"There is no settings as such to hide. If you have rooted device, using "root file explorer" go to /system/build.prop, open with text editor and add a line, qemu.hw.mainkeys=1 and restart your device. This will hide navigation permenantly. To bring it back delete this line from build.prop or put "0" value for this line. You may have alternative navigation like gesture navigation (xposed module) or something similar to this.. Hope this helps."
[Q] How to hide the navigation bar? - Post #5
"To hide the nav bar follow below
************************************
Download SQLite Editor by Speedsoftware .... it is paid search online
open sqlite editor and in the apps sections scroll down to the app Settings Storage (com.android.providers.settings)
select it and in it open settings.db
then select system
and then click on the + sign on the top
in the name section type ....... hide_virtual_key
in the value type ....... 1
save it and reboot
nav bar hide button will become visible"

[Anleitung] Navigationsleiste ausblenden OHNE root
