Wir alten Samsungianer erinnern uns möglicherweise noch an Googy und seinen GoogyMax-Kernel:

Er ist mit uns gekommen.

Features :

- Patched to latest Linux 3.10.94

- WORKING NATIVE EXFAT SUPPORT

- Patched to latest Linux 3.10.95
- Completely disabled ZRAM, ZSMALLOC & SWAP
- random: boost entropy
- wireless: reduce wakelocks by /4
- gcc: tune flag for big.Little architecture

- fs: Asynchronous Fsync from HTC
- arm64: memory utilities optimization
- various patches to gain more smoothness (cpufreq, block, lowmemorykiller ...)

Ich mußte zwar nach der Installation nochmal "nachrooten" aber scheinbar hat`s dann doch hingehauen. Mal schauen, wie der Kernel sich nun schlägt

Ich bin nicht so der Freak und hab` nur wenig Durchblick von der tatsächlichen Materie, Rosa Elefant. Zudem hab ich das G4 erst kurze Zeit in der Mache (komme vom Samsung S6E) und von daher ist das folgende auch eher als loses Statement, denn als Empfehlung o.ä. zu sehen. Bislang also und zumindest hier keine (unangenehmen) Aufälligkeiten. Das Ding (MM) läuft im Alltagsgebrauch (Tel, SMS, Twitter u.ä.) bislang stabil und mit, so wie ich es bislang einschätzen würde, durchaus annehmbaren Akkuverbrauchswerten (inkl. Greenify). Kernel derzeit > Interactive, Gouvenor > BFQ. Deepsleep funktioniert bestens (von 22:30Uhr bis 5°°Uhr heute früh 3% Verlust). Ist der Schirm an, gehts aber auch gewohnt fix wieder abwärts...

zumindest nichts, was mir noch sonderlich aufgefallen wäre..

Hab beim googymax Kernel das Problem wenn ich das Stock Kernel Backup wiederherstelle ist Bluetooth kaputt.
Da hilft dann nur noch eine komplette Systemwiederherstellung.

Warum war das denn notwendig?

Ja weil 2x derselbe Fehler aufgetreten ist bei verschiedenen Versionen vom Kernel.
Probiers doch mal aus.
Mach backup vom Kernel, flash googymax und restore das backup.
Wirst sehen das Bluetooth nicht mehr benutzbar ist.

Imperium Kernel hab ich noch nicht probiert und beim SimpleGX hab ich keinen Unterschied zum Stock Kernel gemerkt[emoji14]

To all GoogyMax kernel users: If you're tempted by disabling logd service to fix battery drain, you should know that it's not necessary with GoogyMax kernel as it was already disabled since some versions ago !
