Hello guys, sorry for english, but I can't write in german. :-(
I found the root problem of VPN on Milestone!
There so much system properties in Android on Milestone.
Limit of system properties is 247, when Milestone has 245 or near this.
So when VPN staring, it tries to add more properties (init.svc.mtpd, init.svc.racoon, etc...), but it can't. As result - Android thought that service is not started and shuts it down.
Solution which works 100%: disable WiFi, reboot your phone, and try to do VPN over GSM operator. It will works, because WiFi not adds 10 their system properties. Later you can enable WiFi, but you may have troubles with WiFi or something other, because there no room for additional system properties.
Solution 2 (my way): You need to have a root on your phone, than edit file /system/build.prop. Comment some unnecessary properties there. May be "ro.build.user, ro.build.date, ...". May be comment some URLs to Motorola's website. Than reboot your phone. VPN should work if you freed up enough system properties.
Thanks,
Sergey
