MIUI ROM 2.12.7 Preview Changelog (week 118)


Not a lot this week. Work towards MIUI v5 continues.

  • Optimization of converting themes to the new format.
    • There will be a progress bar while converting old themes to the new format. Batch convert will be processed on the other page and won’t influence others operations of the Theme Manager. You will be able to see how the converting goes and use the converted theme immediately afterwards
  • Reduced the volume of notifications during a call
Full changelog will be posted on Friday as usual

Hi everyone,

As 2012 is now drawing to a close I think its right to just stop for a moment and say what a great year its been.

Despite past problems with other members of other sites and the ongoing problems we face weekly with issues in the MIUI ROM I think this year has been a big turning point for the community. We have now got a recognised English MIUI Official forum after continuing our mission to provide as best a possible English ROM experience to the thousands of people who download it each week. to all of those people, thank you! with numbers in the tens of thousands each week its clear to see people like our ROM enhancements.

The release of Xiaomi's new flagship device the MI-2 was also a massive WOW of the year. Some of our staff have been fortunate enough to get their hands on the device and I can say from personal experience it is the BEST device out there for the money! China have really raised the bar again this year and we cannot wait to see what happens with the MI-3.

I'd also like to thank all the mirror providers for their commitment to our project and never letting us down in the time of need. Caro, Celogeek and Magentium are very good friends of ours. Thanks guys!

Thanks to our staff developers, notably Mr iBotPeaches and ingbrzy for their hard work and assistance keeping things going, along with Pele our resident community theme developer.

Also big thanks for the members of this site, 60,000 + members is a very proud achievement!

Really hoping for some cool things in 2013 with the release of MIUI V5 just around the corner and Key Lime Pie!

Xiaomi in 2013



There has been some interesting news posted today by Xiaomi and I thought I would share it with everyone. Some of this news is very interesting and will define MIUI in 2013.

  1. MIUI 4.0 will be retired and only devices with Android 4.1 support will be supported.
  2. Since there are only 5 people porting at Xiaomi, they will move to only supporting one to two high models from popular manufacturers. This means less ROMs and more stability

  3. "We will open the low-level code." -> Directly from Xiaomi. This is huge. This could eliminate 99% of the issues that occur when porting. Then we can easily bring MIUI to any device that has AOKP/CM support.
  4. There will be more MIUI ROM contests for Unofficial MIUI developers. More prizes for the people that deserve em

  5. It will be a good new year. This changes are said to take place after the Spring Festival (Feb 2013).

Hi everyone,

As MIUIAndroid.com continues to grow and handle more users each day - we have almost outgrown out current server hardware and need to start the move to Solid State Drive hosting with more RAM.

We need this to run the web site and also to build the ROMS in a quick and stable environment.

Our current hosting costs are around £56 per month just for this server. The new server is going to cost £72.00 per month.

Please help us reach our target goal so that we can make a new server a reality.

MIUI ROM Reaches 10,000,00 users! Share the LOVE!!

Today marked a landmark for MIUI and Xiaomi as there are now a record 10,000,000 users actively supporting and using MIUI ROM.

As part of the celebration Xiaomi have reached out to all the dedicated developers and international sites who support MIUI and Xiaomi to help them in a very simple and charitable way.

Simply visit MIUI ROM has 10,000,000 users and follow the link to download the MIUI Love theme.

What's the Charity part?
For each download of the MIUI Love theme, Xiaomi will donate 0.1 RMB to the Smile Angel Foundation. The foundation was setup to help children born with a cleft lip and pallat (CLP) from low-income families.

Hallo Zusammen,

erfreue Mich nach dreiwöchiger Abstinenz wieder MIUI, einzig weiter störend ist, das Kontakte von der SIM Karte nach wie vor nicht importiert werden können.

Meldung: "Der Vorgang com.android.phone wurde angehalten"

Dies ist aber kein spezifisches Problem vom einem Mod (z.B. aktuelle xiMix, von Mir genutzt), sondern kommt schon von der China Base.


Ist dieser Bug auch bei anderen Devices vorhaben?

Optimized – when browsing large images, the image size will auto-scale to full screen
