[Diskussion] Froyo-Mod für das Milestone

Das erklaert so einiges, und ich habe alles nach dem JIT dingens abgesucht gerade.

Na ja, der Mod ist mir schnell genug, auch ohne JIT compiler. Vielleicht bin ich doch noch nicht soweit aus der Materie raus wie ich mir gedacht habe.

Aber ich moechte es noch mal erwaehnen das Navi ist wirklich unheimlich viel schneller da wie in den vorherigen Versionen. Bin deswegen immer noch leicht ueberrascht, insbesondere da ich mich in meiner Wohnung befinde, die Anwendung starte und keine Minute warten muss bis die Route berechnet ist und auf´m Milestone angezeigt wird.

89luca89 hat ja den JIT deaktiviert weil das die Performance auf unserem Stein verbessert.

Deinen Eingangspost kannste immer selbst über "ändern" aktualisieren. Die Threadüberschrift können nur Mod's ändern. (Es wird in der Forenleitung wohl nachgedacht, ob das künftig nicht der TE selbst machen kann/soll.)

Hallo zusammen, ich habe mir das Rom auch mal installiert .Sieht ganz gut aus ,leider hatt es mir meinen Akku binnen kurzer Zeit leergesaugt .Wenn ich nachschaue steht da Android System 23% +/- 3% ist das normal ????
Hatte vorher den CyanogenMod 7 drauf ,der auch super lief aber ja leider nicht mit Navigon zusammen.
Ich meine da wären die Angaben für das "Android System" deutlich geringer gewesen ,so um die 9%.

Flash einfach mal eines/mehrere/alle und TESTE SELBST!! Du hast nun genug Infos bekommen - ergo: selber hand anlegen und nicht immer weiter fragen!!

Welche Themes sind denn damit gemeint?
Bei 2.4.0c sind bei mir leider alle Themes im Bootloader stecken geblieben trotz wipen...
Wäre zu schön wenn ich mein geliebtes Gingerbread Theme wieder installieren könnte =)

Das steht nicht im Mainthread, weil in dem Thread kein Wort über Themes gesagt wird. Wenn man die Quelle anguckt, dann liest man auch was über Themes.

Das bedeutet einfach nur, das die Themes die bei XDA von 89luca89 selbst gepostet wurden, NUR mit FroyoMOD und NUR Version 2.5.0 kompatibel sind.
Weiß nicht in wie weit das stimmt, aber ich würd dem ganzen mal vertrauen, sagt ja immerhin der Entwickler selbst

Habs mal aufgespielt....läuft super schnell wie ich das gewohnt war....aber iwie funktioniert das video abspielen nicht.

Super ROM, läuft bisher am besten von allen getesteten!
Von mir getestete ROM's (jeweils die aktuellste oder eine Version davor):

- MIUI
- Pacific Leak
- HO!NO!
- ShadowMOD GingerBread
- CM7

Grund für das ständige Wechseln waren entweder eine schlechte Akkulaufzeit, langsame Reaktion (Touch, App laden,...) oder beides zusammen.
Bei der jetzigen Froyo MOD hat man die Reaktionsgeschwindigkeit vom CM7 und dem GingerBread ShadowMOD, die super praktische Energieleiste im Dropdown und die Vorteile von FROYO, inkl kleiner Skripte für schnelle individuelle Anpassungen (switch Phone.apk, switch Gallery.apk, enable Camera Sound,...) ohne Leistungsabbrüche nach längerer Laufzeit (MIUI), Freezes und spontanes Beenden einer App (ShadowMOD GingerBread) oder kurzer Akkulaufzeit aufgrund von ungutem Speichermanagement.

Warum dann nicht CM7?
Ganz einfach! Mir ist es zu überladen, es kann einfach ZU viel und dafür, dass es eine alpha (!) ist und fast täglich Updates kommen, ist mir die Zeit einfach zu schade und beim FROYO MOD läuft alles tadellos!

Ich find' Froyo-Mod ja ebenfalls ganz gut; leider ist da wieder die von mir sehr ungeliebte Kamera drin, weshab ich im Moment immer wieder zum APAC-Rom zurückkehre. Das ist ja ebenfalls kein "2.3" (mit 2.2 Kernel). Die minimalen Unterschiede zwischen 2.2. und 2.3 reissen mich sowieso nicht vom Hocker.

Die Kamera finde ich jetzt zwar nicht so mies, dass ich von dem MOD Abstand halten würde, aber man kann ja mal die MIUI Kamera testen.
Das Implementieren des MIUI MusicPlayers verlief zumindest ohne Probleme.

Die Unterschiede zwischen 2.2 und 2.3 finde ich allerdings auch nicht umwerfend, da wechsel ich lieber zum FROYO MOD und habe eine vernünftige Grundlage ohne mein Telefon zu verbuggen, nur um auf den GingerBread-Zug aufzuspringen!

Ich bin weitestgehend deiner Meinung (auch bei dem was ich nciht zitiert habe)

Ich habe aufgrund meines Spieltriebs mal CM7 getestet und finde es unbrauchbar. Der ohnehin schon knappe Ram macht sich bei CM7 nochmals deutlich bemerkbar. Immer wenn ich versucht hab Musik im Hintergrund laufen zu lassen, wenn ich was im Browser gucken wollte, hat das nicht geklappt und der Musikplayer wurde einfach gekillt um Ram freizugeben.
Und das trotz des letzten Updates, was ja genau das verhindern soll.
Bei HO!NO! ist es ein wenig besser, allerdings meiner Meinung nach immer noch völlig unbrauchbar. Die Animationen sind zwar ganz nett, aber auf sowas verzichte ich gerne, wenn ich dafür ein fast perfekt laufendes Telefon habe (dank FroyoMOD).

FroyoMOD wird wohl mein Rom bleiben, da ich mit keinem anderen so wenig Probleme habe. Und bis ein würdiger Nachfolger fürs Milestone im Handel ist (Gute Verarbeitung, QUERTZ-Tastatur, 1GB Ram, min. Dualcore, offen für CustomRoms und Kernel und das ganze bei vernünftiger Akkulaufzeit. Ja ich weiß, ein wenig hohe Ansprüche), kann man mit FroyoMOD sein Milestone noch genießen.
Gibt zwar schon einige Dinge die mit 256MByte Ram nicht möglich sind, aber insgesamt ist das Milestone doch immer noch ein hervorragendes Smartphone.

Man hab ich viel gelubbert.

Irgendwie schaffe ich es nicht mit Blackmoon meinen zip Anhang aus gmail zu speichern, schade... war immer sehr nützlich!

Hat jemand eine Alternative parat?
Ach und hat jemand eine Idee wie ich die NotiBar schwarz bekomme?
Das weisse ist mir doch etwas zu weiss...

Die Icons für den Akku etc kann ich sicherlich wie gewöhnlich ändern!
