I actually focus mostly on CM9, lately, as that's what I'm currently running on my primary Milestone as my daily used ROM.
Though while I'm aware of some occasional wifi issues that are still asking for a fix, I'm connected to wifi most of the time (both when at home and at work) and I don't experience such battery drain related to wifi usage at all.
So, as usual when there is an issue I can't reproduce by myself, I need to see your logs to have a chance to figure out what's going wrong in your case.

I will continue my tests on CM9 and I will also test different situations.
Currently I don't have a SIM-Card inserted, the flight-mode is active, except the wifi, this is always on.

I will reflash CM9, I will flash CM7 and I will wipe system before every flash.
Currently I haven't set up my google-account, so it should not sync.

For logs I need to know which ones. dmesg of course, what else?

Maybe I found the issue, but I need more testing.

I have no SIM-Card inserted.
This time I didn't enabled the flight mode and I see the following pictures:


It looks like the mobile-part doesn't go into suspend if it has no SIM-Card.
I need to test it with a SIM-Card and also with CM7.

working fine on cm7, my milestone is on battery and without a sim and slept just fine since Monday till now

I found the problem, it's not a CM9 issue.

My damn WLAN-Router have a bad antenna, so the WLAN-Devices has to put more power to send data.
I have installed my second WLAN-Router with an external antenna, now the battery drain is gone.

My first WLAN-Router (Netgear WNR3500L) have DD-WRT on it and I can see the connection-quality, the
receive quality was poor (still is, have to look out for a solution) but the tranceive quality was and is still
good. Because the tranceive quality is good, the WLAN-Devices showed nearly full connection bars. So I
assumed, that the connection quality was not an issue.

Hast du es schon getestet? Falls ja wie läuft es irgendwie mag ich ja CM9 auch wenn es ein wenig langsamer ist als 7.

As we have only 225MB, don't expect any miracles - the hardware constrains count.

ich bin neu hier und habe ein Problem.
Ich habe mein altes Milestone 1 auf cyanogenmod 9 geflascht soweit geht alles aber ich bekomme kein Root recht.
Ich habe in den Einstellungen schon nur Apps und ADB und Apps aktiviert.
Wie bekomme ich die Root rechte?

Ist nicht einer da der mir einen tip oder so geben kann.

normalerweise sollte bei aktionen mit rootrechten ja eine fenster aufpopen, welches fragt, ob rootrechte gestattet werden sollen (z.b. der su befehl im terminal), und dies sollte bei cm9 eigentlich von anfang an funktionieren, wenn nicht scheint etwas beim flashen schiefgegangen zu sein.
notfalls ohne wipe cm9 nochmals drüber flashen oder schauen ob es für die superuser app ein update gibt, genau wie in der superuser app auch einmal schauen ob es ein su binary update gibt

Danke für deine Antwort aber ich hatte vorher froyo 2.21 drauf und es nach Anleitung gerootet und dann auf cm9 geflascht aber die
1. Wann kommt das Fenster mit der frage?
2. Vom du Befehl im Terminal?
3. Superuser update über das app oder in google suchen?
Habe ich in der Anleitung nicht gesehen.
Was habe ich falsch gemacht.

Hab meinen hier rumliegenden Stein zum Einsatz für meine Frau wiederbelebt und CM 9 geflasht (G-Apps natürlich auch.). Als Standard-Eingabemethode wird mir allerdings nur die Google-Sprachsuche angeboten – von der Bildschirmtastatur keine Spur! Die HW-Tastatur funzt einwandfrei.

Scheint’s, als ob die LatinIME.apk nicht korrekt gefunden oder aktiviert wird.

Irgendjemand `ne Idee?

nochmal neu flashen, eigentlich sollte das rom soweit funktionieren, aber ob deine Frau mit cm9 glücklich wird ist ne andere frage, da es doch ab und an recht langsam ist

Ich kann gar nicht zählen, wie oft ich den Stein schon mit CM9 geflasht habe inkl. div. Wipes, vor und zurück, das ganze Programm.
Immer mit dem selben Ergebnis: Kein Onscreen Keyboard.

Hmmm ... Welche CM schlägst Du stattdessen vor? Oder gar ein ganz anderes ROM? Hatte selbst vor meinem Umstieg auf ein S3 die CM7 drauf, aber so ganz glücklich war ich damit nicht. Ich bin allerdings bei Milestone CustomROMS derzeit ein bischen "outdated"

Letztlich werden bei ihr außer WhatsApp wohl nicht sooo viele andere Apps laufen. Wichtig ist meiner Frau außerdem noch eine gute Foto- und Videofunktion.

Whatsapp tut ab Android 2.1 ( Eclair ).
Die EclairMODs sind das schnellste was es an ROM für den Stein gibt.
Und der Akku hält dabei auch am längsten.

Die Camara war IMHO mit Froyo am besten.
Und mit die FroyoMod läuft der Stein auch sehr gut.
