Google Pixel-Update – Dezember 2025​

We have started to roll out the monthly software update for December 2025. All supported Pixel devices running Android 16 will receive these software updates starting today, and the rollout will continue over the next week in phases, depending on carrier and device. You will receive a notification once the system update is available for your device. We encourage you to check your Android version and update to receive the latest software.

Warum findet mein Telefon kein Update?
Die OTA-Updates werden z.T. erst später freigeschaltet.

Warum dauert das Update so lange?
Das Pixel hat zwei Partitionen, das Betriebssystem ist quasi doppelt im Speicher.
Wenn ein Update kommt, wird es auf die nicht verwendete Partition aufgespielt.
Anschließend werden Apps/Einstellungen von der aktiven Partition mit der bislang nicht verwendeten abgeglichen.
Schließlich wird der Cache aller Apps zurückgesetzt (Optimierung).
Wenn das alles erledigt ist, wird man zum Neustart aufgefordert.
Dabei wird dann auf die bislang nicht verwendete Partition mit erfolgtem Update umgeschaltet.

Damit man das Telefon währenddessen weiter nutzen kann, passiert das alles im Hintergrund mit niedriger Priorität.
Deshalb dauert es, und deshalb ist es egal, ob das Update nur ein kB oder mehrere MB groß ist.
Denn nicht die Änderung dauert, sondern das danach.

Der Vorteil ist, läuft beim Update etwas schief, kann auf die Version vor dem Update umgeschaltet werden.

Tipp: Wenn ein Update kommt, Abends ans Netzteil, Update starten und am nächsten Morgen neu starten.

Momentan arbeitet Google aber an der Update-Prozedur, damit die Updates schneller installiert werden.

Warum ist der Google Play Sicherheitsstand nicht aktuell?
Das Google-Play-Systemupdate ist unabhängig vom monatlichen Pixel-Sicherheitsupdate.
Es ist also durchaus normal, wenn der Google Play Sicherheitsstand älter ist!

Leider immer noch der Fehler vorhanden, beim auf Bildschirm tippen erst dunkler Bildschirm und dann Hintergrundbild.

Wetter App zeigt immer noch falschen Standort an.

Kann es sein , dass jetzt 5G SA bei o2 direkt funktioniert. Der Vo5G Schalter ist jetzt auch da, ohne diesen workaround mit Pixel IMS. Auch die Version der Mobilfunkanbieter Einstellung ist neu mit 30.10.25, daher könnte es jetzt schon sein !

Boah, seit 40 Minuten rödelt das Telefon schon vor sich hin und ist immer noch am optimieren.
So lange hat es hier noch gedauert.

@Meteorman Das Problem hat keines meiner beiden P9PXL.

Ganz häufig sitzt das Problem vor dem Smartphone, es wurde etwas in den Einstellungen geändert, das man mal als Tipp gelesen hatte und vergessen, das man es geändert hat, etc.

Im Fall von @Meteorman wurde das Gerät schon mal zurückgesetzt und komplett neu eingerichtet? Ist das Problem dann Weg war es kein Bug, ansonsten würde ich das Gerät mal zu Google einschicken, denn ich habe dies weder beim P9 Pro, noch beim P9, es könnte ja vielleicht auch noch ein Defekt der Hardware sein.

Der falsche Standort der Wetter App habe ich auch, dauert immer etwas und dann stimmt der Ort halbwegs, ich frage mich ob der Ort über GPS oder die Antenne ermittelt wird?

So, Update installiert und endlich? den Menüpunkt "Gerätestatus" in den Einstellungen.

Leider funktioniert dieser nicht so richtig, im Gegensatz zum Pixel 6 mit Beta.
Hier im Pixel 9 pro stürzt die Einstellungsapp ab (App wird wiederholt beendet), dann bekomme ich einen schwarzen Bildschirm und lande beim Wischen wieder in der allgemeinen Übersicht der Einstellungen. Der erste Punkt im Gerätestatus = Gesamtstatus (Gerätezustand wird überprüft) kommt zu keinem Ergebnis, wenn die App mal nicht abstürzt sondern wahrscheinlich nur! hängt.
Wie gesagt, beim Pixel 6 mit Betasoftware funktioniert es einwandfrei, der Gesamtstatus wird nach wenigen Sekunden mit einem grünen Haken angezeigt, beim Pixel 9pro bleibt der Haken grau und nix passiert.

Hat das eventuell noch jemand ? Einen Fix wird es wohl erst später geben wenn ich kein Einzelfall bin.

Danke für den Tipp, gleich mal ausprobiert und der Check wird komplett durchgeführt. Also bei mir Pixel 9 pro funktioniert der Gerätezustand.

Ein Fehler hab ich gefunden, beim Aufruf im Einstellungen ganz unten Gerätestatus und Unterstützung, zeigt es immer Gerätezustand wird geprüft, und wenn man auf Speicher klickt stürzt es ab.

Ist kein generelles Problem. Auch bei mir läuft der Check sauber durch.


Pixel noch mal neu gestartet?
Mal den abgesicherten Modus probiert?

Im Zweifelsfall auf Werk zurück setzen.

Wenigstens ist der Spuck mit der Hilf uns besser zu werden in der Anrufliste weg )).

Das mit dem falschen Standort wird Google wohl nicht in den Griff bekommen, ist ja schon ewig so, warum auch immer.

Das Problem mit dem Erst dunkelnen Hintergrund und dann erst das Hintergrundbild ist ja nicht von Anfang an dagewesen. Es tauchte erst vor einiger Zeit mit einem Update auf. Ich weiss nicht mehr mit welchen Update, ich meine es war dieses Matrial Update.
Einstellungen sind nicht geändert worden.

Und nein Werksreset und Neuanfang hab ich nicht gemacht und werde es auch nicht machen deswegen. Der Aufwand bis ich alles wieder so hab wie jetzt ist mir zu hoch, dann lebe ich lieber mit dem Problem.

Ich kann mich nur wiederholen. Bei mir stimmt sowohl der Standort immer , maximal dauert es kurz. Als auch besteht kein Problem mit einem schwarzen Hintergrundbild das sich dann erst korrigiert. Weder bei meinem Pixel noch bei dem meiner Frau.
